Eva Jumatate is a young and talented singer, who was a very popular contestant on TalangSE (Sweden’s Got Talent) in 2019. She has just released a brand new song called Boom! …Here I Am. The track is a contemporary and upbeat and radio friendly pop song with a strong production.

Boom! …Here I Am is composed by popular Swedish songwriters –  Johan Jämtberg and Mikael Gunnerås. They were part of the team behind This Is The Night by Kurt Calleja (2012 ESC Malta). Johan is also a producer and vocal coach and works with many up and coming talented singers. He has previously worked with Zara Larsson, Lisa Ajax and sisters, Molly Sandén, Frida Sandén and Mimmi Sandén.

Eva is just 12 years old and originally from Romania. Johan received a recommendation to listen to Eva. So, he contacted her parents and they were happy and positive for Johan and his team to work on something with Eva. Together they worked on a song and sent it to Ola Håkansson (the manager of Zara Larsson and former member of the group, Secret Service, and he also participated in Melodifestivalen in Sweden as a singer and composer). He was very happy with the result of this recording and now the song has been officially released with a video clip.

It’s a ‘Wonderland’ for Roxen & Alexander Rybak collaboration

Roxen & Alexander Rybak have collaborated on a new song called Wonderland. It is an upbeat and catchy track with a positive and happy vibe. I am not sure Alexander actually sings on this track but I presume he is involved in the music playing.

Wonderland is available to purchase or stream via most digital stores such as Amazon, Spotify and many more.

Roxen was chosen to represent Romania at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with Alcohol You. The competition was, however, cancelled due to the world health pandemic. Roxen will get another chance as she has been confirmed to represent Romania at the 2021 Eurovision.

Alexander Rybak won the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest for Norway with Fairytale. He returned to compete again for Norway the 2018 Eurovision with That’s How You Write A Song.

Laura Bretan & The Tenors have released a charming new single called Believe. It is an upbeat song with a positive message and a feelgood factor.

Believe is composed by Udo Mechels, Yannic Fonderie, Kit Hain and Laura Bretan. The arrangement and mixing is by Yannic Fonderie with additional editing and mixing by Ran Aviv.

Laura Bretan is a Romanian-American pop-opera singer. She is a former winner of Romania’s Got Talent, and was a popular contestant on America’s Got Talent, both in 2016. She took part in the 2019 Romanian Eurovision national selection with the popular Dear Father.

The Tenors are Multi-platinum JUNO award winning and much respected artists.

Jessica Lipari records Italian versions of ‘On A Sunday’ and ‘Don’t Break Me’

Jessica Lipari is a talented vocalist from Switzerland. She has released Italian language cover versions of On A Sunday by Ester Peony (2019 ESC Romania) and Don’t Break Me by Montaigne (2020 ESC Australia).

Fabrizio Massi is the Italian lyricist for the songs. The Italian title for the On A Sunday is cover is Stai con lei and Infame is the Italian title for Don’t Break Me.

Fabrizio has written Italian words for many songs and we will see more of his work here on ESC Covers.

Alexa releases her new single ‘Acum x Niciodata’

Alexa has released a brand new single and video clip for her Romanian language song, Acum x Niciodata (Now x Never). It is a contemporary pop track and is radio friendly, sung beautifully.

Alexa Niculae was the lyricist of Yodel It! by Ilinca feat. Alex Florea, which was the song that represented Romania at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Alexa has also tried as a solo artist to represent Romania at Eurovision. She took part in the national selections in 2009 and 2010 and also wrote several songs for the selections for other acts.

Acum x Niciodata was composed by Alexa herself. The production is by Magic Juice and Ciprian Lemnaru. Mixing and mastering are by Magic Juice (Marius Rozdaș). The guitar playing is by Claudiu Mirea. Direction of the music video is by Ciprian Strugariu.
