Ukraine chooses Go_A – ШУМ (SHUM) for Eurovision 2021
Despite earlier denials that the recently released ‘Shum’ would be GO_A’s song for Eurovision 2021, the Ukraine public broadcaster today announced that the song had indeed been chosen as their entry for this years contest.
Late last week, the jury members who would decide which song GO_A would perform were revealed and earlier today ‘Shum’ was announced as the winner.
Only yesterday snippets of the three songs submitted by the band for consideration to the jury had been released. Those in contention were:
“Rano” (Рано)
“Tserkovka” (Церковка)
“SHUM” (ШУМ)
A competition version of the song and a new video clip will be released in March.

Details of the process for the Ukraine selection for Eurovision 2021 have been revealed.
Ukraine: Go_A release new single ‘Shum’
Go_A have released their brand new song called Shum (Noise). It is a stylish and upbeat electro/folk song with a powerful production and beat.
Shum is composed by Taras Shevchenko, Kateryna Pavlenko and Igor Didenchuk.
Go_A were selected to represent Ukraine at the 2020 Eurovision with Solovey. However, the competition was cancelled due to the world health pandemic. They will get another chance to represent Ukraine at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
Shum will not be the 2021 Eurovision song for Ukraine.

Go_A cover ‘Dancing Lasha Tumbai’ by Verka Serduchka
Go_A have covered Dancing Lasha Tumbai by Verka Serduchka. They recorded the track live at the top of the broadcaster UA:PBC building.
Dancing Lasha Tumbai was the legendary Ukrainian entry at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki.
Go_A were selected to represent Ukraine at the 2020 Eurovision with Solovey, which was unfortunately cancelled. The band have been selected for Ukraine for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.

Go_A to represent Ukraine at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Solovey’
Go_A have won the Vidbir national selection with the song Solovey (Nightingale) and will represent Ukraine at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam in May.
Solovey is an upbeat ethnic song with vocals similar to the Polish song at Eurovision in 2019 by Tulia.
