Lizi Japaridze returns with hot new song ‘Toxic World’

Lizi Japaridze makes a welcome return with her brand new song entitled Toxic World. It is an upbeat and energetic track with a strong production and almost 80s retro feel. Definitely radio friendly and makes you want to move.

Toxic World is composed by Lizi Japaridze (lyrics)  Giga Kukhianidze (music and arrangement). It is mixed and mastered by Koba Meskhia.

The cool and dramatic music video is directed by Khatuna Giorgobiani. The video artist is Marika Kurdubazde and the videographer is Levan Iremashvili. The gaffer is Ilia Pheradze and the video editor is Ramaz Gunava.

The management is Giga Production and the producer is Giga Kukhianidze.

Lizi (Lizi Pop) represented Georgia at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Happy Day. She has certainly come a long way since those days and looks to have a big future ahead of her.

Ranina Tour 1 episode 2 airs

After setting record viewing figures for the first episode, the popular Junior Eurovision selection show ‘Ranina’ returned to Georgian screens this evening for the second show of tour 1.

The remaining 5 contestants all performed this evening on the tour 1 theme, acoustic/duets.

With all tour 1 performances now complete, Sandra Gadelia and Rati Gelovani hold a small joint lead as we head to Tour 2.

2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Georgia selection show ‘Ranina’ underway

‘Ranina’ the popular selection show for the Georgia representative for Junior Eurovision aired its first episode of the current season this evening.

With the contestants selected and announced, the show was originally scheduled for March/April, but fell victim to the Covid 19 pandemic.

This year’s show will be the third season following the selection of Tamar Edilashvili in 2018 and Giorgi Rostiashvili in 2019.

The show will follow the format of previous years with 5 artists initially each week performing in ‘tours’ or themed shows with no eliminations until the later stages.

Christine Restakyan releases two new original songs ‘Hope’ and ‘Sweet Heartbreaker’

Christine Restakyan has released two new new beautiful acoustic songs. The songs are called Hope and Sweet Heartbreaker and are both composed by Christine herself.

Hope is about never giving up and losing hope after the big difficulties the world has been facing over the last few months. The song works really well with the violin and keyboard instrumentation blended with Christine’s clear and beautiful vocals.

Sweet Heartbreaker is another delightful song that again includes the violin and keyboard sounds.

A special mention for Marianna Kirakozova (violin) and Eric Petrosyan (keyboard). The production on both songs is by Artur Stepanyan (Skhveni Production) and directed by Levani Gogoladze.

Christine is based in Georgia and she submitted a song to the Armenian Eurovision selection in 2020.

Georgia Junior Eurovision Selection show ‘Ranina’ To go ahead after delay

Georgia 1TV today announced that the Junior Eurovision selection show ‘Ranina’ will be returning to screens in the near future.

After initially announcing the artists taking part and a start date of late March, the show was put on hold as the Covid 19 pandemic locked down the country.

We look forward to Georgia once again kicking off the Junior Eurovision selection season when the show restarts in the coming weeks.

More details of the 10 contestants who will participate in the popular ‘Ranina’ show; which will select the Georgian artist to represent them at the 2020 Junior Eurovision song contest, were revealed today.

Christine Restakyan is a rising singer and songwriter from Georgia and she has just released a cover version of a Nino Katamadze song Toliebi / Seagulls.

Christine’s charming and smooth vocals suit the beautiful soulful/jazz track and she sings it with a lot of emotion.

Christine released her own composition Maybe back in 2018 and recently she covered the Whitney Houston song I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.

One day Christine would love to be on the Eurovision stage. This year she submitted a song to the Armenian Eurovision selection process.

Elene Mikiashvili & Nika Janelidze release ‘Fostalionis Simgera’

Elene Mikiashvili & Nika Janelidze have released a cool new club dance song Fostalionis Simgera (Postman’s song).

Fostalionis Simgera is composed by David Toradze and Peter Bagration-Gruzinsky. The sound recording is by Teen Club studio. The videographer for the video clip is Givi Maghradze.  Arrangement is by Nika Janelidze.  Special thank you to Elcentro Studio.

It is a welcome return for Elene, from Georgia, who has had several club hits and collaborations in her homeland. She has busy working at concert and club venues. Elene was a previous participant in the Georgian Eurovision national selection.

The track and video are a special collaboration of Elene with top DJ Nika Janelidze.
