Dihaj releases new single – ‘Eşqini Aşagı Sal’

Dihaj will represent Azerbaijan at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. She has just released her brand new single entitled Eşqini Aşagı Sal (Float down the love).

Dihaj is renowned for her experimental music and this is no exception. The lyrics are by Uran and the music by Dihaj herself. The mixing and mastering is by Igor LOOPer Garanin.

Dihaj to represent Azerbaijan at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest

The local broadcaster ITV have confirmed that Dihaj (or Diana Hajieva) will represent Azerbaijan at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Kiev in May.

Dihaj is a versatile artist who is at ease performing jazz, funk and soul and alternative pop music.

Emin & Ani Lorak release powerful duet – ‘YA NE MOGU SKAZAT’

Emin & Ani Lorak have collaborated and released a power ballad together. The song is titled Ya ne mogu skazat’ and composed by Maksim Fadeyev and Ol’ga Seryabkina.

Emin is a superstar from Azerbaijan and he performed at the interval in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku.

Ani Lorak represented Ukraine at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with Shady Lady and was the runner up that year.

Nina Žižić releases her new song – ‘Kiss You, Goodbye!’

Nina Žižić was part of the Who See, who represented Montenegro at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with Igranka (The party). Now she returns with a new and exciting project. Nina has released a brand new song entitled Kiss You, Goodbye.

It is gentle and charming pop song that was made in Azerbaijan and is part of a soundtrack for a movie. ‘Həddən artıq uyğunluq’ (Excessive compliance). Kiss You, Goodbye is a remake of an old Azeri song called Qayıtdı xəyallar (Returned dreams). The project was courtesy of Peachline and released through Baku Music.

Nina is a popular singer in Montenegro and has had success in festivals such as Suncane Skale in her homeland. She also took part in the 2005 Serbia-Montenegro national final with the group Negre and the song K’o Nijedna Druga.  Nina was also a solo artist in the 2006 Serbia-Montenegro final performing Potraži me.

Euro stars perform at Zhara Fest in Azerbaijan

For the first time there is a new festival in Baku, Azerbaijan featuring many Russian and Azeri singers including many acts from Eurovision. It was a two day event held at the Sea Breeze recreation centre. The organisers of the event were international recording artists from Azerbaijan, Emin (he performed during the interval at the Eurovision final in Baku in 2012), Grigory Leps and Sergey Kozhevnikov (both stars from Russia).

Amongst the acts to grace the Zhara Fest stage were Polina Gagarina (2015 ESC Russia), Ani Lorak (2008 ESC Ukraine), Alexey Vorobyov (2011 ESC Russia), Tomas N’Evergreen (2010 ESC Denmark), Svetlana Laboda (2009 ESC Ukraine), Filip Kirkorov (1995 ESC Russia) and Samra (2016 ESC Azerbaijan).
