NORBERT’S EUROVISION WINNER – 1985
Norbert from LOVE FOR MUSIC facebook together with Roy of ESC COVERS website have started a new series. Norbert has been following the Eurovision Song Contest for years, some favorites remain others had to make way for new favorites. In this series we will post Norbert’s winner of each Eurovision year.
LOOKING AT THE NORWEGIAN EUROVISION ENTRIES – 1981 TO 2025 – 1986
KETIL STOKKAN won the Norwegian selection in 1986 and therefor had the honour to represent NORWAY at the Eurovision song contest with a song called ROMEO. Ketil composed the song himself. It did not repat Norway’s success from the previous year and ended in 12th place.

LOOKING AT THE NORWEGIAN EUROVISION ENTRIES – 1981 TO 2025 – 1985
Fortunes changed for NORWAY in 1985. After having come last and even getting zero points several times, they finally won the Eurovision song contest for the first time in 1985 with LA DET SWINGE. It was performed by a female duo called BOBBYSOCKS. This duo was made up by HANNE KROGH and ELISABETH ANDREASSEN. My vinyl single has both the Norwegian original and the English version on it. The English version is called LET IT SWING. Rolf Lovland wrote the original song and Alixzandra wrote the English lyrics.
