From today I will post everyday about a Eurovision song with an original version and at least two covers. As ESC Covers is a COVERS website, one of two covers of the original song will be posted.

The first song is from 1970. It is KNOCK KNOCK (WHO’S THERE) by MARY HOPKIN for the United Kingdom. It is where I start. This year we celebrate 70 years of EUROVISION. ESC Covers will pick 70 Eurovision songs but we will not publish the original as those songs are well known. Instead we will pick a cover, in various languages and by various singers. There is no order, it is just as they come into our minds. One song per day will be posted. NORBERT’S EUROVISION WINNER – 1970

Norbert from LOVE FOR MUSIC facebook together with Roy of ESC COVERS website have started a new series. Norbert has been following the Eurovision Song Contest for years, some favorites remain others had to make way for new favorites. In this series we will post Norbert’s winner of each Eurovision year.

His winner for 1970 is the Netherlands – THE HEARTS OF SOUL  with WATERMAN.
