In an interview with the magazine “Bunte,” Siegel said that he had already submitted the song he wrote specifically for the band to the German Eurovision pre-selection. Siegel had previously announced that the “next generation” of the group from the 1970s would tour Germany in 2027.

Siegel said he had developed “something relatively ambitious.” “But I believe that’s also necessary when dealing with such a world-class group.” “I hope the jury sees it that way too.”

Siegel is one of the best-known and most successful German composers and producers of Schlager music. He has released around 3,000 songs; his most famous hit is “Ein bisschen Frieden” (A Little Peace). Sung by the then 17-year-old singer Nicole, the song won the Eurovision Song Contest in Great Britain in 1982.
