COVER2COVER – T-SHIRT

On 23rd August 2020 we (ESC Covers, EuroVisionMusic, Eurovision Coverage and Destination Eurovision) started publishing pictures of  VICTOR BUSH modeling a Eurovision t-shirt and holding the promo material for that entry. It is to make artists aware of entering the COVER2COVER SINGING contest we were arranging. Having received just 3 entries by the end of August – one in each of the 3 categories, it was clear we cannot have a competition with just 3 local entries. We had a rethink over the concept. The COVER2COVER concept will change but it won’t be a competition anymore with a closing date. It will be a PROMOTION PLATFORM where we will give exposure and promotion to any Eurovision related cover – an artist can send us any such song whether it is a professional video, a home video of just an audio video. There are also no limit on how many songs/videos an artist can send. We continue publishing the t-shirts at random and the 16th one is from ISRAEL. It is not an entry from a specific song but of Eurovision in TEL AVIV, the Eurovision compilation CD, the bag and t-shirt we got.  In total we will publish around 30 t-shirts and after that about 10 pictures of promotional Eurovision bags for a bit of variety.

MADONNA as an interval act in TEL AVIV

ESC Kaz wrote the following about Madonna and the possibility of her being present at the Eurovision song contest in Tel Aviv in May.

The Jewish billionaire Sylvan Adams who brought the Giro de Italia race was also recruited to bring Madonna to the Eurovision Song Contest – and will complete the funding needed for her appearance. “We hope that in the next few days we will sign an agreement to bring Madonna to the Eurovision Song Contest in Israel,” said Danny Ben Naim, Adams’s partner.

The Canadian billionaire Sylvan Adams has agreed to the request of the Public Broadcasting Corporation and will pay for the arrival of the giant star to Israel in May.

Adams, a Jewish billionaire who made aliyah from Canada to Israel, is considered one of Israel’s most enthusiastic philanthropists and donors. In the past year, Adams has sponsored the bringing of the prestigious Giro de Italia to Israel, which has become the biggest sporting event in the country. In addition, in the past year he has been working on establishing a cultural foundation that will bring to Israel great artists in order to promote and brand Israel’s standing in the world.

As revealed by Ynet, in the public broadcasting corporation with the help of the Live Nation group, was in contact with Madonna for her appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest, but the economic gaps were large.

In recent months, the corporation has asked Adams’s partner in Israel, Danny Ben Na’im, to help financially support the Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.

Adams and his partner said they would be happy to help but waited for something definite. In recent weeks, and “after much deliberation, Adams gave a green light to finance Madonna’s performance at the Eurovision Song Contest,” sources familiar with the details said. Adams would be the one who would pay the singer alone, and the cost of her arrival would be more than $ 1 million.

According to the sources, in the past two days significant progress has been made in negotiations between Adams’ representatives and Madonna’s managers: “The signing is expected in the coming days, there are small things to close.”

Danny Ben Naim, CEO and owner of the Comtek Group and Silvan Adams’ partner in many projects, said in response to Ynet: “Sylvan Adams made aliyah to Israel and he devotes his life to branding and strengthening the state by bringing sports events, culture and innovation. We are in round-the-clock negotiations with Madonna’s people and we hope that in the next few days we will sign her arrival at the Eurovision Song Contest in Israel. ”

“Sylvan Adams believes that the participation of an artist like Madonna in the Eurovision will significantly increase the exposure and media coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest and the events that accompany it, and through Madonna’s visit to Israel, millions will be exposed to the wonderful people and beauty of the State of Israel”
