COMPETITION – GREECE AND CYPRUS

1-hovig1

In Kyiv, ESC covers will be represented by Ian Fowell, our chief editor as well as Roy van der Merwe, the website owner. Roy will, however, also cover the 2017 Eurovision song contest on behalf of the Greek language radio station in South Africa, RADIO HELLENIC and because of that, we are doing a competition involving the entries of Greece and Cyprus.

The competition is fairly easy. This is what you have to do:

1 – Pick Cyprus or Greece (the entry you like best of the two)

2 – Put a photo of yourself inside the flag of the country you picked (so Greece of Cyprus) OR

Put a photo of Hovig or Demy inside the flag OF YOUR country.

3 – Send this to us at roy@esccovers.com and we will publish it on the ESC COVERS website OR

put it yourself on the EUROVISION COVERAGE facebook

4 – By 30 APRIL a panel of judges will pick 1 or 2 winning entries and these people will win a gift package from Radio Hellenic and ESC Covers.

COMPETITION ONE

Roy from ESC Covers will be reporting from Kyiv for the Greek language radio station in Johannesburg, South Africa called RADIO HELLENIC which is the only Greek language radio station in Africa. So obviously this competition revolves around the entries of Cyprus and Greece. There is no right or wrong answer and 2 judges from the radio station will look at the entries and pick a winner. Now what you have to do is as follows:

Pick one of the two countries – so either Cyprus or Greece and tell us in a few words why you are drawn to this entry. You have to send your answers to roy@esccovers.com and he will pass it on to the judges.

You have 2 weeks for this and then the competition will close – 15 March 2017 to 29 March 2017.

DID GREECE PICKED THE CORRECT SONG?

We are continuing in our series of questions with no right or wrong answers and it is obvious that we would focus on Greece after they selected their entry last night. Greece selected Demy and then had her record three songs which they presented to the public. Did you think the public picked the right song, and was it clever to record the video of the song in Ukraine where Greece won their only Eurovision in 2005?
