AUSTRALIA 2019 – GOOD VERSUS BAD POINTS

Ida Andia from Romania and Roy van der Merwe continue to look at the good and bad points of the 2019 Eurovision entries. Up today is AUSTRALIA.

Ida – Good point : I like the staging and the voice.
Bad point : Pop-opera is not the best style at the Eurovision song contest.

Roy – Good point : Impressive staging with Kate singing and swinging together.
Bad point : The song has very little in terms of lyrics.

AZERBAIJAN 2019 – GOOD VERSUS BAD POINTS

Next up is Azerbaijan for Ida Andia of Romania and Roy van der Merwe of South Africa to list good and bad points of their 2019 entry.

Ida – good point : Chingiz is very charismatic, has an amazing voice, song and staging.
No bad point.

Roy – good point : The singer looked well and sang well.
Bad point : the robots were not as “charming” as those from San Marino 2018.

AUSTRIA 2019 – GOOD VERSUS BAD POINTS

Ida Andia of Romania and Roy van der Merwe of South Africa continue looking at the 41 entries of the 2019 Eurovision song contest and highlight one good point and one bad point of each entry. Next up is Austria.

Ida – good point : I like the staging – black and white, and the triangle too.
Bad point : I don t like her clothing.

Roy – good point : I am happy they picked someone totally different each year.
Bad point : Paenda has blue hair but it was at times difficult to see on stage as the stage looked quite dark.

LUCA HANNI – SWITZERLAND

Andreas from Vienna sent ESC Covers the first CD of Luca Hanni from Switzerland. The CD is called MY NAME IS LUCA. It came out in 2012 and was released after Luca won Deutschland sucht den Super star. The CD contains 12 tracks with all but one in English. Dieter Bohlen produced the CD and composed several of the songs. 7 years later Luca represented Switzerland at the Eurovision song contest and ended in 4th place.

AFRI MUSIC SONG CONTEST WINNER on stage in EURO VILLAGE, Tel Aviv

This photo shows Nonzwakazi on stage at the Euro village in Tel Aviv on the Saturday of the Eurovision song contest final. In the left corner you will notice Andy Mikheev of ESC Kaz filming the performance and to the right is Roy van der Merwe of ESC Covers. Both were judges in the Afri Music song contest and were back stage with Nonzwakazi and Michelle and Suzie from the Afri music organisation prior to Nonzwakazi’s performance.
