In 1994 PAUL HARRINGTON & CHARLIE  McGETTIGAN won the Eurovision song contest for IRELAND with ROCK ‘N ROLL KIDS.

FRIDRIK OMAR from ICELAND covered the song in Icelandic as EF PU PIGGUR PAD.

FRIDRIK himself took part in the Eurovision song contest in 2008 as one half of the duo EUROBAND singing THIS IS MY LIFE.
