Australia have joined the Eurovision party again. This time the broadcaster SBS has confirmed they will participate in the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Sofia, Bulgaria. This now means 17 countries will participate making it the biggest contest since 2007.

The semi-final of the Ukrainian Junior Eurovision national selection took place on 25 July. 15 acts were chosen by the expert jury who consisted of Mykhailo Nekrasov (composer of songs such as Gravity by Zlata Ognevich ESC Ukraine 2013 and Spring Will Come by Sympho-Nick JESC Ukraine 2014), Anastasiya Petryk (winner of JESC for Ukraine in 2012 with Nebo), Anzhela Kopotia (famous art director) and Ruslana Pysanka (Ukrainian artist and tv presenter).
The final will take place on 22 August at Beach Complex ‘Olmeca Plage’ in Kiev.
The national broadcaster of Ukraine, NTU, has announced their plans for the 2015 Junior Eurovision selection. Applications are now being accepted between 10 July to 24 July for young singers aged between 10 to 15 years old.
The semi-final will take place in the tv studios of NTU on 25 July. The date of the final will be announced at a later date.
Ukraine were missed a lot by fans at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. Hopefully they will be back to participate in 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. Meanwhile it is the juniors who will take the spotlight and hope to emulate the win by Anastasiya Petryk in 2012 with Nebo.
