It is now 11 days to the 2024 Eurovision final in Malmo, Sweden. For  20 days running I will highlight one song from each of the last 20 years and I have started with 2004. Now with 11 days to go it this the 2013 Eurovision.

The 2013 Eurovision song contest took place in MALMO, SWEDEN.  This was the second time hosting for Malmo, the first was in 1992.  And now this year it will be Malmo’s third time.

The 2013 winner was EMMELIE DE FOREST from DENMARK with ONLY TEARDROPS, so it was just across the bridge for hosting in 2014 in Copenhagen.

Thomas G:son composed the song for GEORGIA. It is called  WATERFALL by NODI TARISHVILI & SOPHIE GELOVANI. In Malmo Thomas approved the Afrikaans lyrics for the cover. KARLIEN VAN JAARSVELD together with the trio EDEN recorded it as UITKLOPHOU. The song turned out to be the 6th best seller in South Africa in 2013.
