Pre-selections for the Talent Star International (Hong Kong) and Junior Model International (Dubai) took place on 24 March in Armenia. The events were organised by Santa L modelling studio with Luchia Budaghyan (art director), Susanna Budaghyan (producer) and Marianna Hovhannisyan (singer and model)
The auditions were in three different stages. First there was the casting where 55 candidates were selected from around 500 participants. Next it was the Talent Round and all the candidates had prove their talents and they also introduced themselves in English. The final phase was the modelling and the participants were given the opportunity to show modelling skills, parade on the catwalk and impress the watching audience and the judges.
The celebrity judges included Dalita (popular singer, model and tv presenter and former Junior Eurovision participant for Armenia), Adriana Galstyan (popular actress), Armen Galyan (celebrity stylists for the stars), Artsrun Harutyunyan (popular actor), Arman Davtyan (Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger merchandiser and brand manager), Anka Saribekyan (radio presenter and host of the Anka Show), Liana Sahakyan (Go Travel founder), Susanna Budaghyan (Armenia national team director), Luchia Budaghyan (runway coach) and Marianna Hovhannisyan (singer with hit songs such as Qez, Du, Siraharvats, Sere Sirov and Marianna). Go Travel are the chief sponsor to send the winning act to Hong Kong.
The contestants won three prizes in the various age categories (Grand Prix). Together the winners will be the National Team that will represent Armenia in Hong Kong and Dubai.
