SWEDEN has won the 2023 Eurovision song contest and will host in 2024. That co-inside with the 50th anniversary of them winning in 1974 with ABBA.

For around 50 to 60 days ESC Covers will post one song a day which is a Swedish song, either an actual entry, a selection song, or a song by a Eurovision artist covered in South Africa, either in Afrikaans or English.

Song 23 is EUPHORIA by LOREEN. This song won the 2012 Eurovision song contest in Baku. It was Loreen’s first victory and she repeated that by winning the 2023 Eurovision recently.

Several songs composed by Thomas G:son in full or partly have been covered in South Africa and many of these covers became big hits. Euphoria was also covered but it was not very successful.

The Afrikaans cover is by TANYA V and is also called  EUPHORIA.
