The 13th episode started at 18.16 on Sunday 24 September. Elsje van Jaarsveld presented it while Ilse Schurmann wrote the text and produced the show. Technical production is by Wihan Nel. Due to the world cup rugby match between South Africa and Scotland on Sunday 10 September the 11th episode fell by the wayside and so although this should have been episode 13, it is episode 12. About Aron Hannes & Siris

Aron Hannes is 19 years old and recently graduated from the Complete Vocal Institution in Copenhagen. At 14, he won the first annual Icelandic singing contest Jólastjarnan (E. Christmas Star) granting him the opportunity to sing with Bo Halldorsson at the singer’s annual Christmas concert. Television station Stöð 2 and radio station Bylgjan have hosted the contest since its beginning in 2011 and introduced young talents from around Iceland. In 2014, Aron Hannes participated in Iceland Got Talent where he made it through to the semi-finals. In the last few months he has been studying at the CVI vocal academy and working on his music with Logi Pedro (Retro Stefson).

Siris (Sveinn Rúnar Sigurðsson) is well known to Eurovision fans around the globe, as he composed Iceland’s entries, Heaven in 2004 and Valentine Lost in 2007.

TONIGHT by ARON HANNES

“Tonight” is one of the songs in Söngvakeppnin 2017, The Iceland Eurovision Grand Prix. It’s written by Siris (Sveinn Rúnar Sigurðsson) and performed by Aron Hannes. The song’s Icelandic title is “Nótt” and Icelandic lyrics by Ágúst Ibsen.The new official video was directed by Hörður Sveinsson and Helgi Jóhannsson, and features the talented Melkorka Davíðsdóttir Pitt. It was filmed at Sjávarklasinn, the Ocean Cluster House in Reykjavík, and produced by Republik for Hands Up Music and PIPAR\TBWA.

ESC COVERS COMPETITION – NOTT/TONIGHT

ESC Covers is running a competition in support of the song NOTT/TONIGHT in the Icelandic final.

The song is sung by ARON HANNES EMILSSON and one of the composers is SVEINN RUNAR SUGURDSSON who wrote the 2004 song HEAVEN for Jonsi.

What you have to do is to publish a photo of TONIGHT in your city/town with a short message. You can publish it as a comment to this post, or do it on the EUROVISION COVERAGE website or send it to roy@esccovers.com and we will publish it. We will allow 2-3 weeks and then announce the winner who will win a prize.
