Darude to represent Finland at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

Darude has been chosen to represent Finland at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel in May. He is a top DJ dance artist and has had many hits.

The entry for Darude will be selected from a national final with three songs on 2 March.

The biggest hit worldwide by Darude was Sandstorm, originally released in 1999. Check out the video below.

PÆNDA to represent Austria with ‘Limits’ at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

PÆNDA has been selected internally by the broadcaster ORF to represent Austria at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

The song for PÆNDA is entitled Limits. The song will be launched in the coming weeks.

Lake Malawi will sing ‘Friend Of A Friend’ for Czech Republic at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

Lake Malawi have been chosen to represent Czech Republic at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Friend Of A Friend. It is a summery track with a nice groove.

The Czech national selection was decided by public voting via the official Eurovision app and an international jury.

Lake Malawi are an indie pop type group  Albert Černý (lead vocal, guitar), Jeroným Šubrt (bass and keys), Antonín Hrabal (drums) and Pavel Palát (drums).

Bilal Hassani to represent France at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Roi’

Bilal Hassani has won Destination Eurovision and will represent France at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with his song Roi (King).

Bilal struggled to impress in the International Voting phase but he took the top score with the Televoting public and won the competition.

Michela Pace wins the X Factor and will represent Malta at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

Michela Pace has won X Factor Malta and will therefore represent her country at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel in May.

Four acts were in the final tonight – Michela Pace, Nicole Frendo, Owen Leuellen and Petra. The show had three rounds. Firstly all the acts did a solo song and for second song they all did a duet. Petra sang with the Overs judge, Ray Mercieca. Owen sang with the Boys mentor, Ira Losco. Nicole duetted with Matthew James Borg (Maltese singer/songwriter). Michela performed with the famous Maltese tenor and opera singer, Joseph Calleja.

After the first those first two songs the voting was halted and it was announced that Petra would be eliminated.

The remaining three acts – Michela, Nicole and Owen then each performed a song in Maltese. The voting was halted again and it was declared that Nicole would be next to be eliminated.

This now meant there would be a straight sing-off between Michela and Owen.

The final vote decided that Michela had won and will take the ticket to Tel Aviv for Malta. She has also won a record deal also.

Michela has really captured the hearts of the public over the last few months and she has showcased her beautiful and soulful vocals with a sweetness and charm all of her own. She is from the Maltese island of Gozo.

The song that she will sing in Israel will be selected at a future date.

Let us look at Michela’s performances tonight on the X Factor Malta. Total Eclipse Of The Heart (Bonnie Tyler), Inti Djamant (The Tramps), Perfect (Ed Sheeran & Andrea Bocelli) and Shallow (Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper).

Tamara Todevska will represent FYR Macedonia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

Tamara Todevska has been chosen to represent FYR Macedonia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in May in Israel.

Tamara is no stranger to the Eurovision stage. First in 2004 she was a backing singer to the much respected, and sadly, late Toše Proeski, with his song Life. In 2008 she was part of the trio Tamara, Vrčak, Adrijan with the song Let Me Love You. Also, in 2014 she was a backing singer for her sister, Tijana, with the song To The Sky.

Tamara is a popular vocalist in FYR Macedonia and the Balkans and has released a couple of successful albums.

The song for Tamara will be revealed at a later date.

Miki will represent Spain at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘La Venda’

Miki has won the Operación Triunfo Eurovision Gala with the song La Venda (The blindfold) and will represent Spain at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.

Eliot to represent Belgium at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

Eliot has been chosen to represent Belgium at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Eliot (full name Eliot Vassamillet) was a popular contestant on 2014 The Voice Belgique. He is 18 years old.

Pierre DuMoulin will compose the song for Eliot. He was responsible for City Lights (the Belgian entry by Blanche at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest).
