Angelina Pipper – ‘They Know’

Angelina Pipper is a talented young singer from Belarus. Angelina took part in the audition stage of the Belarus Eurovision selection for 2018 and performed her song as part of the interval in the final. The song is called They Know.

Angelina has released several music videos including Dziva. She is a confident and versatile singer.

She has been singing since she was very young and has appeared in the Belarussian Junior Eurovision national selection in 2013 and 2014.

Soon Angelina will be releasing new music. In the meantime check out her performance of They Know and the video clip of Dziva below.

ESC Covers had plans to report direct from Minsk, Belarus on the 2918 Eurovision song contest where 20 countries will be taking part.

Roy van der Merwe will unfortunately not be in Minsk due to the fact that an invite from the organizers was not issued in time for him to apply for a visa to enter the country despite the fact that he asked for it as far back as July.

We still hope Ian Fowell will be able to attend and report as, he being a citizen of the UK,  can enter visa free.

ESC Covers had several plans for promotion, among them a BARBIE DOLL competition in celebration of the Albanian entry and we had someone designed a dress typical of South Africa. Now that Roy is not going to Minsk, this promotion is not happening and he handed the Barbie doll today to some girl in a near by orphan home.

The young and talented sister and brother, Mary & Levon Serobyan, performed this week at The Colors Of The World festival at the Hamazgayin Teater after Sos Sargsyan.

The event was a charity concert and together they performed their popular song Yete tchanatches (If you know). Mary and Levon were rewarded with a trophy and a certificate.

Mary and Levon not only sing but they are talented musicians. They are part of the respected ArmDreams team.

Liza Kenia has released a cover version of the popular song Cesarica by Oliver Dragojević. She sings the song in the Croatian language too. Liza has made a beautiful interpretation of the song which includes a lovely string arrangement.

Liza has also made a charming video clip to accompany the track and it is filmed in Croatia.

Liza is a very talented singer and presenter and dancer and model. She was a member of The Princesses, who represented Georgia at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Blue Bird.

Mia & Nikoletta

Cyprus: Success for George, Mia & Nikoletta and the team at International Dance Festival – Aphrodite Cup 2018

George Michaelides represented Cyprus at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the hypnotic hit Dance Floor. George was accompanied by an amazing dance team on stage including Mia Michaelides and Nikoletta Antoniou and also Georgina Moakler and Emily Christodoulou.

George, Mia and Nikoletta and Georgina are part of the the Young Stars Theatre & Performance Arts School and have just had a big success at the International Dance Festival – Aphrodite Cup 2018.

Competitions took place at the King Evelthon Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus.

George won in the Contemporary solo category and was in the same group as Nikoletta and Mia, who won the Hip Hop duet section, and George was in the same two groups as Nikoletta that also won.

Congratulations also to Nikoletta who won first place in the Jazz Solo category, Hip Hop group and Senior Jazz group.

Georgina was part of the group dances and also enjoyed the great successes. Emily was also part of a winning routine.

It is good to see George, Mia and Nikoletta and also Georgina and Emily and the rest of the team doing so well with their dancing. I am sure we can expect a lot more of their amazing dancing and also singing in the future.

Wales: Manw releases official video clip for ‘Berta’

Manw recently won the 2018 Chwilio am Seren national selection to represent Wales at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk in November. Her song is entitled Berta.

Now the official video clip has been released of Berta. The song has had a little makeover as promised after the show. The composer is Ywain Gwynedd.

Manw is 13 years old. Her full name is Manw Lili Robin. She already has much experience of festivals and competitions including performing at the famous National Eisteddfod in Wales.

The song that Marija Spasovska will sing for FYR Macedonia at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed. It is called Doma (Home).

It is an emotional ballad composed by Darko Dimitrov and Elena Risteska. Elena represented FYR Macedonia at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens with Ninanajna.

Rita Laranjeira will sing Gosto de Tudo (Já Não Gosto de Nada) for Portugal at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk, Belarus in November.

João Só is the composer of Gosto de Tudo (Já Não Gosto de Nada).

Rita is 13 years old and she has already taken part in many festival and important stage performances including the final of the Kids Music Fest in Portugal.

Fidan Huseynova will take to the stage in Minsk in November, where she will be representing Azerbaijan, at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Her song has now been revealed. It is entitled I Wanna Be Like You.

I Wanna Be Like You is composed by Ayten Ismikhanova and Elvira Michieva (music) and the lyrics are by Isa Melikov and Fidan herself.
