Clodagh Rodgers (5 March 1947 – 19 April 2025) was a singer from Northern Ireland. She was best known for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 with the song Jack in the Box.
In 1969 she shot to the top when she had two top-3 hits with Come Back and Shake Me and Goodnight Midnight, making her the best-selling female singer of that year. Her next singles Biljo, Everybody go home and Lady Love Bug secured her success. Many of her songs were written by the American songwriter Kenny Young.
She represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 in Dublin with the song Jack in the box, with which she reached 4th place.
She had a successful and extensive career. With the Clodagh Rodgers Show that was broadcast on Irish TV she won a Golden Rose at the Montreux festival. She appeared in many more programs and also sang in musicals.
One of her other hits was the song SAVE ME. This song was successfully covered by South African group CLOUT.
