Svetlana Agarval to represent Belarus at the 2020 Türkvizyon Song Contest

Svetlana Agarval will represent Belarus at the 2020 Türkvizyon Song Contest online contest in December. The the title of her song is Meni Anla (Understand me). It will be performed in the Azerbaijani language.

Meni Anla is composed by Gunesh (who has taken part in several Belarussian Eurovision national selections).

Svetlana was originally chosen to represent Belarus at the 2017 Türkvizyon contest but the festival did not take place for some reason and this year the competition has been revived. So finally Svetlana will get to showcase her unique talents on an international platform.

Svetlana is a talented singer and she is unique because she sings with an Indian style with exotic rhythms. Her music is contemporary and with a Bollywood style influence. She is very popular to Belarussian audiences. She has taken part in top festivals such as the 2011 Slavianski Bazaar and the Eastern Bazaar in Yalta, Crimea in 2012.

Juliana Shalla and her important contribution to Albanian talent and community in UK

Juliana Shalla has made a big contribution to the Albanian community living in the United Kingdom. She has been involved in many events and competitions and she has been a proud promoter of Albanian Culture.

Now Juliana is working in the education sector registering her community students in different courses and English studies and this has proved successful and of course is very important.

Juliana has been living in the UK for over four years and has specialised in event organisation. During this time she has worked hard in many organisations to promote Albania and it’s culture. She has worked a lot with young talent such as the ‘Albanian Talent Show’.  Then she organised the Albanian Folk Festival in the UK and was awarded the prize of Albanian Community Leader by Waltham Forest Borough.

Juliana was the founder of the contest, ‘Albanian Future Stars’.  In 2019 she worked on the English competition ‘Waltham Forest’s Got Talent’, where she helped introduce some Albanian performers. She was also member of the jury in this competition. Juliana had the honour of being the Albanian Ambassador of Cultural Events in the UK courtesy of William Morris Big Local.

In 2020 Juliana has been active as a jury member in several online competitions representing Albania as a jury member. They include -‘World Vision 2020 Armenia, Sing at Home in Italy, Good Vibes in Romania and Brilliant Voices from Monaco.

Juliana’s work has been rewarding to see Albanian culture and talent recognised in the United Kingdom and worldwide. She has taken great satisfaction and has been honoured to represent Albania and even the UK with many invitations for competitions and festivals and also as a jury member.

yesyes x Szabó Ádám have released a new song Gyengéden (Gently). It is a contemporary radio friendly track. The song is composed by Ádám.

Ádám Szabó has participated several times in the former A Dal national selections in Hungary. In 2013 he sang Hadd legyen más, 2015 he had Give Me Your Love, 2017 was Together and in 2019 as part of yesyes with Let You Run Away.

Georgia: Sandra Gadelia releases official music video for ‘You Are Not Alone’

Sandra Gadelia has released the official music video for her song You Are Not Alone. This is the song she will represent Georgia with at the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The music video for You Are Not Alone is beautifully filmed in a lovely Georgian ‘olde worlde’ setting. Sandra is accompanied by four female violinists, a girl keyboard player, a female drummer and a boy DJ.

Welcome back to Giga Kukhiandze, who is the composer of You Are Not Alone. Giga is man behind Georgia’s three wins at Junior Eurovision (Bzikebi in 2008 with Bzzz…, Group Candy in 2011 with Candy Music and Mariam Mamadishvili with Mzeo in 2016). Giga also composed the Georgian JESC entries by Mariam Kakhelishvili (2010 with Mari-Dari, 2012 The Funkids and Funky Lemonade, 2013 The Smile Shop and Give Me Your Smile, 2014 Lizi Pop with Happy Day and in 2015 The Virus gave us Gabede.

Sandra is just 10 years old and she has a charming and powerful voice. She won the ‘Ranina’ national selection competition in Georgia with some much acclaimed performances.

Jóhanna Guðrún releases sweet new single ‘Löngu liðnir dagar’

Jóhanna Guðrún has released a beautiful new single called Löngu liðnir dagar (Long gone days). It is a powerful and anthemic ballad and reminiscent of something from a Disney movie and sounds just perfect for the festive holidays. Infact, the song is from her forthcoming Christmas album.

Löngu liðnir dagar is composed by Jóhanna Guðrún, Jón Ragnar Jónsson and Einar Lövdahl.

Jóhanna, or Yohanna as most of us will know her by, represented Iceland at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with Is It True? and took the runner up position in the competition.

Sisters, Wendi & Malodajn Mancaku, performed together on the tv show, Këngë Moj – Nata e Shkodrane, on Vizion Plus channel in Albania. The girls performed the song Pranvera filloj me ardh (Spring begins to come). It was a nice acoustic performance with Wendi playing guitar and the two girls voices blending gently together.

Wendi Mancaku will be participating in the forthcoming Festivali i Këngës #59 with the song Vesi i shpirti tim (The habit of my soul).

Victoria Anthony releases epic music video for ‘Breathe Underwater’

 Victoria Anthony has released an epic new music video for the song Breathe Underwater from her debut album ‘Real Life’. The song is a beautiful ballad sung with a lot of emotion by Victoria and her crystal clear vocals, and the music features a nice strings effect.

The music video for Breathe Underwater is charming and fascinating to view. A lot of work and imagination have gone in to the clip which is beautifully filmed and performed with a passion by Victoria. There is a lot of water involved in the video and the overall result feels breathtaking! The video was directed by Victoria Anthony and Brock Newman and produced by Madeleine Davis. Cinematography is courtesy of Alex Robichaud and the movement director is Lisa Rose Metz.

Breathe Underwater is composed by Victoria Anthony, Justin Gray and Jessica Karpov. The production is by Justin Gray. It is mixed by Chris Potter and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Sterling Sound).

Victoria is a talented young singer from Canada, who is on the rise. Her album ‘Real Life’ is receiving much acclaim and she has already released a previous three singles with music videos from the album – Sleep, Gotta Get Up and Real Life. Alicja is back with a new song and music video for the track Na Pamięć (By heart). It is a soulful and bluesy track with powerful vocals by Alicja.

Na Pamięć is composed by Jakub Ochal, Alicja Szemplińska and Piotr Walicki. The production is by Piotr Walicki and the mastering by Arek Kopera.

Alicja Szemplińska was selected to represent Poland at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with Empires. However, the contest was cancelled due to the world health pandemic.
