UK confirmed to host 2023 Eurovision Song Contest

United Kingdom and the BBC have been confirmed to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.

Although Ukraine won the 2022 Eurovision it was decided the security and operational guarantees required to host the event could not be fulfilled by Ukraine’s public broadcaster UA:PBC.

The host city bidding contest will begin this week with several UK cities very interested hosting the event.

The Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC will work with the BBC for the organisation of the ESC 2023.

Kalush Orchestra won the 2022 Eurovision for Ukraine and Sam Ryder was the runner up for the United Kingdom for the contest held in Turin, Italy in May.
