Roy van der Merwe of ESC Covers was very excited when he recently discovered another song by the mother and daughter duo CHRIS GARDEN & MAXI.

CHRIS GARDEN & MAXI represented Germany at the 1988 Eurovision song contest with the song LIED FUR EINE FREUND. This is Roy’s top Eurovision song of all time.

The year before in 1987 they took part in the German selection with FRIEDEN FUR DIE TEDDYBAREN which is Roy’s most loved German selection song. This song ended second in the selection.

Both these songs had Ralph Siegel as composer and Bernd Meinunger as the lyric writer.

The song he discovered is called JUNGS SING DOOF. It is a nice song but nowhere near as fantastic as their selection song and 1988 Eurovision entry. Ralph and Bernd also wrote this song.
