Focus on Sarah Bonnici (2024 Malta Eurovision)

Sarah Bonnici will soon rock the stage for Malta at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with Loop. ESC Covers takes a little look at Sarah’s career so far.

Sarah took part in the Malta Junior Eurovision national selections in 2009 (The Mambo Song) and in 2010 (Kitty Kitty Cat). However, infact, it was in 2010 Sarah got the opportunity to be one of the dancers with the 2010 Maltese Junior Eurovision representative, Nicole Azzopardi. ESC Covers first met Sarah at the Junior Eurovision in Minsk, Belarus  with the Maltese team that year.

Sarah has since had much success in local and international festivals. ESC Covers was in Malta in 2012 when she won the New Talent category of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza festival. She got to win the actual main prize at the 2018 KKI festival with the song, Il-Pinna (The Pen). Sarah had a very good song also at the 2017 KKI competition with Fil-Qrib (In the Close).

In 2022 Sarah participated in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with Heaven.

So to 2024 and Sarah won the privilege to sing for Malta at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest by winning the local national selection with Loop. She has since been on an extensive promotional tour around the various European party concerts and appears to be enjoying every minute.

ESC Covers wishes Sarah lots of luck in Malmö.
