EUROPAPA, THE 2024 DUTCH EUROVISION ENTRY BREAKS RECORD STREAMS

Norbert of ESC DUBLIN TO AMSTERDAM reports to ESC COVERS on the progress of the 2024 Eurovision entry from the Netherlands.

‘Europapa’ by Joost Klein is going like a rocket. The song with which Joost represents the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö has been listened to more than 1.2 million times on Spotify in the Netherlands on Friday. This makes the song the most streamed song in one day and Joost Klein beats the old record of Duncan Laurence’s Arcade.
Europapa has not gone unnoticed in Estonia and Lithuania. In Estonia, the Dutch entry entered the Spotify charts at 38 and in Lithuania at 44.
Things are also going incredibly well on YouTube. On Saturday the counter already stood at more 3.7 million views. There has been a slight increase among bookmakers. Where the song dangled around 20th place on Thursday afternoon, it has now risen to 18th place.
