Vietnam has won Intervision ’25 with “Phù Đổng Thiên Vương”

This evening, Intervision ’25 – Russia’s answer to the Eurovision Song Contest – was held in Moscow at the Live Arena. Twenty-two countries from across the globe perormed, but Vietnam’s Đức Phúc was declared the winner, with a total of 422 points from the 100% jury vote!

His song, “Phù Đổng Thiên Vương” featured a variety of musical styles and tempos, ultimately building to a thumping dancefloor banger! The song has been a fan favourite since being released, crowning Vietnam the winners of the re-launched Intervision format. During the show, it was announced that the Saudi Arabia will host the 2026 edition.

The entire four-hour broadcast of Intervision ’25 is available to watch on the official Intervision YouTube channel. If you’re a fan of either the Eurovision Song Contest or the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we’re sure you’ll find plenty to enjoy!

We’d like to congratulate Đức Phúcon his win, and also to all involved in the production of Intervision ’25. We eagerly look forward to future editions of the contest!

In other news – originally, the United States of America were also due to compete in the contest, but were unable to perform at the very last moment, with the following statement being published from the organisers:

“For reasons beyond the control of the organizers and the US delegation, caused by unprecidented political pressure from the Government of Australia, singer VASSY (a citizen of the United States and Australia) will not be able to perform in the final show of the contest”

This follows the replacement of the United States of America’s original song and singer, Brandon Howard, just days before the show was due to begin.

Russia were also unable to win tonight’s contest, as their representative, SHAMAN, made a statement after his performance stating that no votes from the juries were to be cast for his country. It is still unclear as to why this decision was made.

With Russia and the USA out – just 21 countries were in contention to win the contest.
