Greta Salóme sang in English in 2012 and 2016 when she represented ICELAND at the Eurovision song contest. She has now released a new song in her native, Icelandic language, called Án þín (Without you).

Daði Freyr cracks the Official UK Top 40 Singles Chart with ‘Think About Things’
Daði Freyr & Gagnamagnið have made it in to the Official UK Top 40 Singles Chart with Think About Things. It currently stands at Number 34 in the listings.
It is unusual in recent years that a Eurovision song makes it in the UK charts so this is a great achievement. Think About Things was one of the big favourites that might have won the 2020 Eurovision for Iceland if it had taken place.
Let’s hope Think About Things goes on to be a big summer hit throughout Europe and the world.

Daði Freyr releases new single ‘Where We Wanna Be’

Daði Freyr has released a brand new song entitled Where We Wanna Be. It is an electro sound with a powerful beat and production. A great follow up to Think About Things!
Where We Wanna Be is composed by Daði Freyr and mixed by Daði with Styrmir Hauksson. The mastering is by Styrmir Hauksson. The song is available to purchase or stream via most digital stores.
Daði Freyr & Gagnamagnið were selected to represent Iceland at the 2020 Eurovision with Think About Things and was one of the big favourites if the competition had taken place.

Iceland: Two acts qualify from first semi-final of 2020 Söngvakeppnin
Ari Ólafsson releases new song ‘Too Good’

Ari Ólafsson, who represented ICELAND at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, has a brand new song and video out. It is called Too Good.
Now known as just, ARI, the new song shows a complete change of style from Our Choice. It is an r’n’b pop song and he even looks very different from 2018.

Hatari and ‘Hatrið Mun Sigra’ for Iceland at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

The techno rock band Hatari will represent Iceland at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with Hatrið Mun Sigra (Hate will prevail) after winning the Söngvakeppnin,
The five finalists –
- Friðrik Ómar – Hvað ef ér get ekki elskað – Super Finalist
- Kristina Bærendsen – Mama Said
- Tara Mobee – Fighting For Love
- Hera Björk – Moving On
- Hatari – Hatrið mun sigra – Super Finalist

SWEDEN
The qualifiers from the third semi-final of the 2019 Melodifestivalen from Leksand were –
