Ukraine pull out of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

Flag of Ukraine
Flag of Ukraine

After all the politics and no solution could be found UA:PBC have decided Ukraine will not take part in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

This is a sad state of affairs. I feel sorry for the Ukrainian public and the singers that took part in the 2019 Vidbir selection. Of course, especially sorry for MARUV. She had a great song and performance and could have been a possible winner particularly with the lacklustre songs (in my opinion) selected so far for the 2019 Eurovision.

Let us hope Ukraine come back with a better approach and less politics in 2020.
