Nicole Hammett gave an amazing audition in Malta’s Got Talent, where she impressed the watching judges with her unique performance of mixing opera with rock! From opera to Highway To Hell in a flash!
As ESC Covers have reported before that Nicole can easily adapt her powerful opera vocals to rock and pop!! This riveting performance earned Nicole a Golden Buzzer, which takes her direct to the live finals.
Nicole recorded much acclaimed covers with music videos of Zero Gravity (Kate Miller-Heidke – ESC 2019 Australia) and La Forza (Elina Nechayeva – ESC 2018 Estonia).

Nicole Hammett has had more wonderful recognition and success by winning the SONATA OF THE STARS (previously known as Kaunas Talent, Lithuania). The festival was held online this year because of the current world health situation.
Nicole also gave a very impressive performance at the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2020 in Malta with her dramatic and passionate song Eku by Emil Calleja Bayliss and Mark Spiteri Lucas.

Nicole Hammett has been busy during the ‘lockdown’ and has had many big successes at various international online festivals.
Nicole won first place awards in all the categories in the Golden Voice International Contest 2020.Also, she won the adult Grand Prix runner up prize in Golden Voice 2020
Other festival prizes included the Grand Prix Runner Up award at the Good Vibes International Festival. The top prize in the online International Festival Lemari and runner up prize at the Rain Star Cup Festival from Germany.
In the competitions the songs Nicole performed were No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) (Donna Summer & Barbra Streisand), Zero Gravity (Kate Miller-Heidke – 2019 ESC Australia), La Forza (Elina Nechayeva – 2018 ESC Estonia), Grande Amore (Il Volo – 2015 ESC Italy), MacArthur Park (Donna Summer), La Voix (Malena Ernman – 2009 ESC Sweden).
During the ‘lockdown’ Nicole also gave many home online concerts.

In these difficult times when we need to stay home an event to cheer us up on Saturday 28 March from 7pm (CET) is a special quarantine concert by Nicole Hammett from Malta.
Nicole will sing live a few songs to try and get everybody in a more positive spirit. She says “During all that’s happening to the world right now, I wanted to spread some positivity while also entertaining you during quarantine ☹ So join me next Saturday the 28th on Facebook live at 7pm onwards. I will sing a few songs live for the people watching me…hopefully I will bring some positive vibes during this pandemic.”
Nicole is a very talented young pop/opera singer and amongst her recordings she has made first class cover versions of Zero Gravity (2019 ESC Australia) and La Forza (2018 ESC Estonia).

Nicole Hammett has released a stunning music video for her cover of the 2019 Australian Eurovision song, Zero Gravity, by Kate Miller-Heidke.
Zero Gravity is perfect for Nicole’s powerful pop/opera vocals. It also has an important message about never giving up and this is something Nicole totally believes in.
The video clip is directed by Emanuel Pace with the filming and editing by Clive Pace. Thanks also to Rita Pace, who was the location assistant. Nicole herself was the production assistant. Nicole would also like to thank her vocal coaches Joshua Alamu, Danica Muscat and Gillian Zammit. The recording engineer is Cyprian Cassar and Somnio Studios.
Zero Gravity is composed by Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall.
Nicole, from Malta, released a much acclaimed cover and music video in 2018 for the Estonian Eurovision song La Forza by Elina Nechayeva. She continues to blossom in to a very versatile artist who can cover opera, pop and rock comfortably and very effectively.

Nicole Hammett has returned in a big way to the local competition scene in Malta. She won all sections in her category (16+) at the Ally-El Entertainment festival. She also won best interpretation and the Grand Prix winner with the mashup of Doll Song/Bang Bang.
Nicole received the top marks from all four judges, who are Italian talent scouts! She performed the opera classic Sempre Libera and Ti Sento by Matia Bazar.
Nicole has also received the honour of being invited to compete in an big music festival in Italy in May. She was also selected to go for an important music audition in Italy.
So, things are going really great for Nicole. Last year she recorded an amazing version of La Forza, the 2018 Estonian Eurovision song by Elina Nechayeva, that received much acclaim. She also made a beautiful video to accompany the song.
Nicole is currently working on a new music video that should interest many Eurovision fans. We hope to bring you news of that very soon.
Besides having success at the Ally-El Entertainment festival and working on a new video, Nicole has been a regular guest on the popular Life & Style entertainment show on Net tv in Malta. You can see some of her performances and how she can adapt to different styles of music on the show below – Holding Out For A Hero, Writing’s On The Wall, Reine De La Nuit/Highway To Hell, Grande Amore and O Sole Mio.
Nicole Hammett gave a rousing rendition of the classic 80s pop/rock track, Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey and also a hit in 2009 for the Glee Cast. The incredible live performance was with the Zone Five Band.
Nicole’s performance was at a special showcase in Malta by the renowned vocal coach, Joshua Alamu. Special thanks for the help of Joshua De Cadenex, backing vocalists Debbie Scerri (1997 ESC Malta), Caren Hession, Claire McCartin and Heathcliffe Balzan and for the arrangement! Also, Jesmond Mangion is responsible for the excellent video.
Nicole is continuing to blossom as a very talented young artist who is very versatile and can adapt easily to various styles of vocals and music such as pop, rock, dance and opera!!

A brand new Christmas song has been launched in Malta by various singers entitled Kull m’hemm Bżonn. It is an upbeat song with a seasonal message composed by Dario Bezzina and Cliff Casha.
The talented singers taking part are Eliana Gomez Blanco, Sebastian Calleja, Nicole Hammett, Timea Farr, Martina Fenech and Bradley Debono. They all do a wonderful job.
ESC Covers are familiar with some of the singers above such as Nicole, who has an amazing voice and can adapt to opera, pop and rock styles so easily. Eliana took part in the Malta Junior Eurovision national selection this year and has great jazz and soulful voice. Bradley, we know from some great performances. Sebastian has taken part in several festivals and success in competitions. We look forward to hearing more about Timea and Martina.
