Kayley Cuschieri is another talented young singer from Malta. She has just received success at La Voce Festival by taking the second place award. Kayley performed two songs – All By Myself (recorded by Celine Dion and also Eric Carmen) and she performed Run (recorded by Leona Lewis and also Snow Patrol).
Kayley was a member of the Fusion band who took participated in the 2016 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest selection, where they performed In Love With A Monster (originally by Fifth Harmony).
Kayley has had much success though as a solo artist performing in several festivals such as 2014 KKI Junior, 2015 Junior Voices and 2015 San Remo Junior Malta. She has also appeared on The Entertainers – Singing Challenge where she also performed Run.

Alexander Panayotov appears to be the the main candidate to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest this year.
On 30 December 2016 on First Russian Channel finished the main vocal TV show – The Voice of Russia. The winner was Dariya Antonyuk. But from the start of show (since September 2016) a lot of people supported a popular Russian singer Alexander Panayotov. He finished in second place. It was a shock for many viewers. People could not believe that Panayotov was not the winner. Many people want Panayotov to be the representative of Russia in ESC 2017.
In autumn 2016 Alexander spoke in some interviews, that he wants to represent Russia at ESC with the mission of kindness and song, which can to reconcile Russia and Ukraine. Alexander was born in Zaporozhye in Ukraine.
A few days ago the musical producer of First Russian Channel, Yuriy Aksyuta, spoke in interviews, that Panayotov is the main candidate for Eurovision 2017. An official decision will be made soon.
In the final of show (on 30 December 30 2016) he sang the song Careless Whisper by the late George Michael. You can see that performance below.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Nuteki will take part in the Belarus National selection.
Nuteki is an alternative metal Russian band, that was formed in 2007. The band was founded by Mikhail Nokarashvili (lead vocals) and Kirill Matsiushenko (keyboards and programming), both of whom are originally from Bobruisk in Belarus.
Nuteki are mostly recognized by their distinctive appearance and view towards live performances: “Shows must be performed in such a way that the people would still be interested to see them even with no audio”.
The band have released three studio albums – Digital Dreams (2010), Unplugged#1 (2012) and NUTEKI (2015).
Over the span of their career, Nuteki took part in the Belarussian national contest to represent the country in Eurovision three times. They were semi-finalists in 2011; won the second place in 2013 and came in fifth in 2014.
In 2017 Nuteki will try to reach the summit of Belarussian ESC again. On 20 January their number is #7. The song – Take My Heart.

What a lovely song from Malta

Sofia Tarasova has just released her brand new single. It is titled Douzi (Rain). It is an anthemic pop song that builds strongly and it has a powerful production. The song is by Dmytryy Sysoev and Ivan Shmalyy(Taiga) and the arrangement is by Ivan Shmalyy(Taiga). It is a Sinegull production.
Sofia represented Ukraine at the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with We Are One and went all the way to second place.

Lerika has the unique record of representing both Moldova and Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She sang No, No for Moldova in 2011 and then in 2012 she performed Sensatsiya for Russia.
Now Lerika has released a brand new single in the Moldovan language entitled Floare alba (White flower). It is a gentle folk style ballad. Lerika’s vocals are sounding mature and crystal clear on this charming track.
The folklore arrangement is by Sandu Gorgos. The recording is by Igor Berezovsky. The operators are Bliss.md.
