MakSim at the Road Radio Music Awards 2025 in Russia

Famous Russian singer MakSim received the special nomination “Pop Music Legend” at the “Zvezdy Dorozhnogo Radio 2025” (Road Radio Stars 2025) music award in Saint Petersburg on 7 December.

Success came to the singer in 2006 with the release of the album ‘Trudniy Vozrast’ (A Difficult Age), which sold over 1.5 million copies, and in 2007 MakSim became the most commercially successful singer in Russia.

MakSim’s second album, ‘Moi rai’ (My Paradise) sold over 1.3 million copies. The singer’s total album sales exceed six million copies. MakSim is the only female artist whose seven singles consecutively reached number one on the unified radio chart of CIS countries.

One of the brightest moments of the ‘Road Radio Stars 2025’ concert in St. Petersburg was the performance of MakSim with her iconic song Znayesh li ty? (Do you know?). In 2011 the song was included in the list of the most memorable Russian pop hits of the past 20 years. Many years pass, but a lot of people still remember this song.

In 2007, the song was playing everywhere in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan (at school concerts, at discos, in courtyards); everyone knows its lyrics and melody. Many children and teenagers want notebooks, pencil cases, and school diaries with a photo of MakSim. Girls try to copy her outfits. In 2022 MakSim presented a new version of the song, recorded together with the winner of Eurovision 2008, Dima Bilan.
