ESC NORGE DISCUSSED THE 37 SONGS FROM EUROVISION 2025 – 17th PLACE

ESC Covers, like in previous years, google translated ESC Norge discussion on the Eurovision song contest positions, from Norwegian to English.

This is a blog post and only represents the writer Morten Thomassen’s own views.

The word “Kant”, which in Maltese means something like singing, would lead to a clash with the high-ranking gentlemen and ladies in the EBU who decide whether the lyrics you will perform on the ESC stage, was possibly a decision that those who wrote the song “Serving (kant)” for Miriana Conte had in mind when they wrote the song.

The fact that the song was only called “Serving” certainly got a lot of attention, at least among the fan press, and sometimes, as a reader of this, you may have to realize that such forms of news are very big in a very small environment and that the man and woman and other gender variants on the street know little or nothing about all these controversies before the artists meet on stage in the host city.

The audience is therefore quite stunned when they see this on stage and then it is perhaps not so surprising that they thought that this song only deserved 8 points and it was thus the 83 points that the juries thought this song was worth that saved our Maltese friend from a position at the very bottom and instead she beat her friend Kyle Alessandro by 2 points.

It is possible that those who sit on the juries are a little more into ESC news compared to the event itself and therefore thought that this deserved points and the message in the song that you should be yourself in the version you like best probably also appealed to them and the show itself was lively, colorful and a bit breathless.

The fact that the girl from Malta can sing is undeniable, but the performance itself may be a little too insistent and the fact that she is lying and squatting both on stage and on the screens in the background may come across as a bit too much of the goodness of body positivity, which in itself is good, but perhaps not so intrusive in a show for the whole family.

What do I know, this was similar to me, but after sending some pretty energetic songs and performances in recent years, maybe they should try to calm things down a bit next year?
