ESC NORGE DISCUSSED ALL 37 ENTRIES OF THE 2025 EUROVISION – 32nd PLACE

ESC Covers, like in previous years, google translated ESC Norge discussion on the Eurovision song contest positions, from Norwegian to English.

This is a blog post and only represents the writer Morten Thomassen’s own views.

A total of 4 countries finished with 28 points in the semi-finals, but they are still ranked and they are ranked in such a way that the number of countries from which points have been received is counted first and if that sum is equal, then the highest number of points received from a country is the one that applies.

So with a 12th from neighboring Montenegro, our Serbian friend Princ managed to become third best of the countries that received points and he did so with the song “Mila”.

My research shows that “mila” means “Dear” and not unexpectedly, it is difficult love that is sung about in such a typical Balkan way that only Balkan artists can do and personally this was one of my favorites, but those who voted were not as convinced that this was finale-worthy.

This is actually the first time since 2017 that this country has not qualified, but with two 10th-place finishes in the semi-finals in the last two years, they have basically been living a bit dangerously for a while now and finally the final spot fell to them.

Professor of Norwegian and all things Princ and it is questionable whether he might have gotten a few more points had we been in the same final as him, but what the audience saw was perhaps a slightly too introverted performance, he very rarely manages to make contact with the TV audience and what happens on stage appears quite incomprehensible.

It doesn’t help that the vocals are good, and it’s possible that some of those who voted were a little confused by the fact that he only surrounded himself with male dancers. All in all, a classic Balkan ballad performed in a less than classic way didn’t appeal to those who voted.

I think this country will have revenge next year and aim for a place in the finals, they have plenty of exciting artists to take on.
