ESC Covers, like in previous years, google translated ESC Norge discussion on the Eurovision song contest positions, from Norwegian to English.

The last country in the semi-finals that ended hopelessly far from a final place in terms of points was our Czech friend Adonxs and his missing final place probably came as a pretty big shock to quite a few people, I think.
“Kiss Kiss Goodbye” was the name of the song and that’s pretty much what those who voted did, so sometimes a song title works a little too well, you could almost say.
Adam Pavlovcin, as the artist is actually called, had some technical problems during his performance that clearly put him off a bit and I can reveal that he was actually offered to sing again, but declined as the whole performance, which had gone a bit wrong emotionally, had drained all his strength and he was not in the mood to perform the song again.
A bit silly perhaps, but what happens on stage is mostly not much to complain about, there are quite a few of the elements that should be in such a song, and the technical problems were not so obvious that they should scare people away from voting.
But, when only the audience votes, you only have your own criteria to vote based on and these criteria, especially when it comes to why you don’t vote, can be pretty bad and I think that this performance was a bit too gay in some people’s eyes and in that sense perhaps not as appealing as one would have liked and it wasn’t particularly innovative either, we’ve seen such performances before, I can’t find any more reasons to find anything that brings it down, the vocals were perhaps not 100%, but not bad at all.
It’s now been 2 years in a row that this country has missed out on a final spot, they try and try, usually with music that is up to date, so we’re betting that next year will be the year that the finale cheers can be unleashed in this country.
