Lake Malawi have been chosen to represent Czech Republic at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Friend Of A Friend. It is a summery track with a nice groove.
The Czech national selection was decided by public voting via the official Eurovision app and an international jury.
Lake Malawi are an indie pop type group Albert Černý (lead vocal, guitar), Jeroným Šubrt (bass and keys), Antonín Hrabal (drums) and Pavel Palát (drums).

ISRAEL – One act leaves HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion 2019 –
Danielle Mazuz is the latest singer to be eliminated from the competition.
Michela Pace has won X Factor Malta and will therefore represent her country at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel in May.
Four acts were in the final tonight – Michela Pace, Nicole Frendo, Owen Leuellen and Petra. The show had three rounds. Firstly all the acts did a solo song and for second song they all did a duet. Petra sang with the Overs judge, Ray Mercieca. Owen sang with the Boys mentor, Ira Losco. Nicole duetted with Matthew James Borg (Maltese singer/songwriter). Michela performed with the famous Maltese tenor and opera singer, Joseph Calleja.
After the first those first two songs the voting was halted and it was announced that Petra would be eliminated.
The remaining three acts – Michela, Nicole and Owen then each performed a song in Maltese. The voting was halted again and it was declared that Nicole would be next to be eliminated.
This now meant there would be a straight sing-off between Michela and Owen.
The final vote decided that Michela had won and will take the ticket to Tel Aviv for Malta. She has also won a record deal also.
Michela has really captured the hearts of the public over the last few months and she has showcased her beautiful and soulful vocals with a sweetness and charm all of her own. She is from the Maltese island of Gozo.
The song that she will sing in Israel will be selected at a future date.
Let us look at Michela’s performances tonight on the X Factor Malta. Total Eclipse Of The Heart (Bonnie Tyler), Inti Djamant (The Tramps), Perfect (Ed Sheeran & Andrea Bocelli) and Shallow (Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper).
Tamara Todevska has been chosen to represent FYR Macedonia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in May in Israel.
Tamara is no stranger to the Eurovision stage. First in 2004 she was a backing singer to the much respected, and sadly, late Toše Proeski, with his song Life. In 2008 she was part of the trio Tamara, Vrčak, Adrijan with the song Let Me Love You. Also, in 2014 she was a backing singer for her sister, Tijana, with the song To The Sky.
Tamara is a popular vocalist in FYR Macedonia and the Balkans and has released a couple of successful albums.
The song for Tamara will be revealed at a later date.

Nicole Hammett gave a rousing rendition of the classic 80s pop/rock track, Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey and also a hit in 2009 for the Glee Cast. The incredible live performance was with the Zone Five Band.
Nicole’s performance was at a special showcase in Malta by the renowned vocal coach, Joshua Alamu. Special thanks for the help of Joshua De Cadenex, backing vocalists Debbie Scerri (1997 ESC Malta), Caren Hession, Claire McCartin and Heathcliffe Balzan and for the arrangement! Also, Jesmond Mangion is responsible for the excellent video.
Nicole is continuing to blossom as a very talented young artist who is very versatile and can adapt easily to various styles of vocals and music such as pop, rock, dance and opera!!

We have received a photo of the artists taking part in the Norwegian Eurovision selection from OGAE NORWAY – their president attended the event at NRK.
Eldar returns with a brand new song entitled Rising Up. It is an upbeat and contemporary song with a positive vibe. It is a radio friendly track with a strong production.
Rising Up is composed by Johan Jämtberg and Mikael Gunnerås, two very talented songwriters from Sweden. They wrote the popular and catchy This Is The Night by Kurt Calleja, which was the song that represented Malta at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. Johan and Mikael also wrote The One by Eldar in 2013, which was a big hit in his homeland of Azerbaijan
Ell (Eldar) & Nikki won the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with Running Scared for Azerbaijan. Eldar is one of the most popular artists in his homeland.

Tatia Kobaladze is an artist to look out for from Georgia. She has appeared on the X Factor and she has a strong and powerful voice.
Tatia is currently working with a band and hopes to make herself known to an international audience also. We look forward to hearing more music from Tatia in the near future.
