18th PLACE IN THE 2022 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST – ROMANIA

Morten Thomassen discussed today the 18th place in the 2022 Eurovision song contest – it is ROMANIA. ESC Covers google translated it to English from Norwegian.

It must be a bit sour when you ask a Latino song that the Latino country, rather than something Spain, also does exactly the same year.

Exactly that fact is probably part of the explanation for why this song came in 18th place and the competitor in 3rd place.

It swings like a thousand of the song, but seen with Latino eyes, this is still tame stuff.

WRS somehow fails to set fire to the performance and you can see that he focuses very much on getting the vocals and dancing.

He manages that well enough, but if I need a performer of a Latino song, it is probably asked that he will not be the one I call.

Despite the fervor, not surprisingly it was the people who took this song the most, over four times as many points he got from it.

However, he gets to put in his CV that he got 10 points from the Spanish people, maybe my assumptions about lack of fortitude are a bit wrong?

In the semi-final, he actually got the 12 from the Spaniards, so you know what it takes to get them on the hook.

In the final, our Romanian friends were one of the juries mentioned for cheating, which of course they claim is not true.

Whether they will participate next year is thus not certain, this year’s song was the first to qualify for the final since the yodel song from 2017.

Before that time, they had always managed to qualify for the final with the exception of 1996 when the first ever ESC semifinal was held.

We hope they are not long-suffering and send a song to ESC-2023, we like to have them with us.
