The second semi-final of the 2020 Melodifestivalen took place in Gothenburg, Sweden. Two more acts went direct to the final and two more to the Andra Chansen phase.

Nikolas Chernigovska impressed the judges and the watching audience with his unique interpretation of Toxic by Britney Spears on the Talang (Sweden’s Got Talent) show.
Nikolas performed Toxic in an acoustic rock style. His rendition went down very well and he progresses to the next phase.
Nikolas is an up and coming star and in 2019 released a single Kissing.

Benjamin Ingrosso is back with a brand new single entitled The Dirt. It is an upbeat pop song with a nice rhythm and feel good vibe to the track.
The Dirt is available to purchase or stream from most digital platforms.
The music video is directed by Original Kids with executive production by HK Corp. The actress in the clip is Jessica Errero. Production is by TEN and 6&7.
Benjamin represented Sweden at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with Dance You Off and finished in seventh place.

The Swedish group ARVINGARNA, who represented Sweden at the Eurovision song contest in 1993, has a new song out called LAT OSS SKANKA HOPP.
Elina Andriyevska is a promising young singer from Sweden with a Ukrainian background. She has released a music video and impressive cover of the Dua Lipa international hit, New Rules.
Elina looks confident and she has a nice and clear vocal as she is having a lot of fun in the video clip with her dancing and performing.
Elina gives thanks to her choreographer, Emma Erikson and the Ukrainian filming, production and editing team.
Elina is from a talented family. Her brother, Nikolas, is also a young and respected young singer and he has a record deal too. Her sister, Yana, is a talented musician and also a model.

Swedish singer ANNA SAHLENE has a new song out. It is called YOU’RE JUST ONE STORY AWAY. She represented Estonia one year at the Eurovision song contest and also did backing singing for the United Kingdom this year in Tel Aviv.
Rebecka Karlsson & Anders Wrethov performed a duet singing Shallow by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper from the ‘A Star Is Born’ movie soundtrack.
Rebecka and Anders gave a great performance with their vocals combining excellently. The received a standing ovation. Rebecka’s vocals are really powerful which she has proved several times and was runner up on Swedish Idol in 2016.
Rebecka took part in the 2019 Melodifestivalen in Sweden with the song Who I Am.

Btico Delgado of Costa Rica alerted us to the fact that Frans from Sweden, who represented that country at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest with If I Were Sorry, has a new song out called DO IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT. It features YOEL905 who has Venezuelan origin and was also the composer of the song.
Frans looks very different and we did not recognise him at first. The song has a very Latino influence and rhythm.

Philipp Kirkorov from Russia covered the 2008 Eurovision entry from Sweden, HERO of Charlotte Perrelli in the Russian language.
Philipp Kirkorov represented Russia at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest with Kolybelnaya dlya vulkana. He is also a legendary songwriter and performer and Eurovision fan.
