Isea Çili will represent Albania at the 2019 Junior Eurovision with ‘Mikja ime fëmijëria’

Isea Çili has been selected to represent Albania at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest after winning the local selection in Tirana today. The song is entitled Mikja ime fëmijëria (My childhood friend).

Isea is a former participant in The Voice Kids Albania.

ESC Covers will bring you more information about the Albanian national selection tomorrow. Guests included Ana Kodra (2017 JESC Albania) and Efi Gjika (2018 JESC Albania).

Wiktoria Gabor to represent Poland at the 2019 Junior Eurovision with ‘Superhero’

Wiktoria Gabor has won the Szansa Na Sukces Final and will therefore represent Poland at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Superhero. It is an upbeat pop/dance track that should go down well with the audience on home territory in November.

The three acts and songs in the final were –

1. Gabriela Katzer On My Way

2. Wiktoria GaborSuperhero

3. Nikola FiedorBubbles In My Head

Voting was a combination of half expert jury and half televoting.

Matheu to sing ‘Dans Met Jou’ for the Netherlands at the 2019 Junior Eurovison

Matheu has been selected to represent the Netherlands at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. He won the Junior Songfestival with his song Dans Met Jou (Dance with you).

The four finalists were –

  • MovesMake Your Move 
  • MannesLet Me Sing
  • 6TimesEnd Of Time
  • MatheuDans Met Jou

The voting was a combination of adult jury, kids jury and televoting. Matheu gained the top marks from all three of the voting combinations.

Joana Almeida to sing ‘Vem Comigo’ for Portugal at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Joana Almeida has been chosen to represent Portugal at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Her song will be Vem Comigo (Come with me).

Ven Comigo is composed by João Pedro Coimbra.

Joana is 10 years old and won the festival Gala Internacional dos Pequenos Cantores da Figueira da Foz.

Ven Comigo will be revealed in the coming days.  The video below shows Joana introducing herself to the Portuguese public on tv today.

Tatyana Mezhentseva & Denberel Oorzhak have won the local national selection and will represent Russia at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland in November. The song is entitled A Time For Us.

The result was decided by a combination of 50% online voting and 50% expert jury.

Wales selects Erin for Junior Eurovision

Chwilio am Seren (Search for a Star), Wales Junior Eurovision selection show came to a conclusion tonight with the national final taking place at the Venue Cymru in Llandudno,

Seven acts made it through from the semi final last week and with Mackenzie & Rhiannon being teamed up by the judges to perform as a duo; for the first part of the show, each of the six acts performed a song chosen by themselves and their mentor:

Sophie – “Cae o yd”
Mackenzie & Rhiannon – “Nythod cacwyn””
Carys – “Croeswn ddyfroedd geirwon”
Y Minis – “Hedfan uwch na’r ser”
Cerys – “Meddwl amdanaf fi”
Erin – “Nos Da Susanna”

Following a vote from the 5 regional Welsh juries, the field was narrowed down to a final three.

Mackenzie & Rhiannon, Cerys and Erin each performed their own version of “Calon yn Curo” the song which will represent Wales in Poland and after the public vote Erin was crowned the Winner and will represent Wales in Gliwice, Poland.

Elizaveta Misnikova to represent Belarus at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Elizaveta Misnikova has won the local national selection and will represent Belarus at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Pepelnyy (Ash).

The upbeat Pepelnyy won by a combination of televoting and jury. The televote top score went to song number 10.

Darija Vračević to represent Serbia at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Darija Vračević has been chosen internally by the broadcaster RTS to represent Serbia at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland in November.

Darija will sing Podigni Glas (Raise your voice) in Gliwice-Silesia. The song will be revealed publicly in the coming weeks.

Darija is 11 years old and has appeared in several music festivals and is also and actress. She also took part in the popular entertainment show Pinkove Zvezdice All Stars recently.

Belarus Selection to take place on Friday

Selection for the Belarus entry for Junior Eurovision 2019 will conclude this Friday September 20 at 22:00 with a live show which will be broadcast on the Belarus 1, Belarus 24 TV channels and online. at www.tvr.by

Eurovision Belarus reported  earlier “Work on installation of equipment and stage has begun in the studio ” 600 meters On September 19, the “Six-hundred” will take place individual finals. The General broadcast of the show in live mode will be held on Friday afternoon.

Ten entries will compete with the running order as follows:

1- Elizaveta Misnikova – “Pepel’nyy” (Пепельный)
2-  Anastasiya Zhabko – “Poymi menya” (Пойми меня)
3- Mariya Zhilina – “Spyavala, gukala, chakala” (Спявала, гукала, чакала)
4- Kseniya Galetskaya – “A Better World”
5- Monkey Tops – “Posmotri na nas” (Посмотри на нас)
6- Sofiya Khrolovich – “Davay tantsuy” (Давай танцуй)
7- Sofiya Rustamova – “Skazhi mne” (Скажи мне)
8- Zefir – “Luchshiye i pervyye” (Лучшие и первые)
9 –  Arina Pekhtereva – “Never Again”10 – Mariya Ermakova”Vetra” (Ветра)

Mariya Yermakova “Vetra” (Ветра) appears to be one of the early fan favorites in  a very high quality field of songs and artists.

Karina wins in Armenia

Armenia wrapped up it’s Junior Eurovision national selection today (Sun 15th).

The show; which included performances from last year’s winner Roksana Węgiel  and Armenia’s 2018 contestant L.E.V.O.N, concluded with Karina Ignatyan and her song ‘Colours of your dream’ being chosen to represent the Armenia in the upcoming contest in Gliwice, Poland.
