LITHUANIA – EUROVISION 2017 FINAL

What seems like forever – spanning over 9 weeks, 8 heats and 51 songs, we have reached the point tonight where Lithuania will choose their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017  in Kyiv. 

The participants tonight are

  • Paula – Let u go
  • Aistė Pilvelytė – I’m like a wolf
  • Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė – Love shadow
  • Fusedmarc – Rain of revolution
  • Gabrielius Vagelis – Feel myself free
  • Greta Zazza – Like I love you
  • Gytis Ivanauskas – Get frighten

Gytis Ivanauskas, performing under the name Lolita Zero, after originally being eliminated from the heat was brought back through a wild card vote.

The winner will be selected through a combination of tele-voting, a Lithuanian jury and an International jury.

ESC Covers originally supported Sascha Son but he fell out and now we have to choose a new act to support.This is difficult as none of the 7 grabbed out attention but we like to title “Feel myself free” and so that is what we will go with.

Sweden

SWEDEN – EUROVISION 2017 FINAL

The Swedish selection for Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv takes place tonight.

The show will be held at the Friends Arena in Stockholm and will be hosted by Hasse Andersson, David Lindgren and Clara Henry.

After 4 semi finals and a second chance round, the 28 acts have been narrowed to 12 and they will fight it out to represent Sweden in May.

The Swedish Eurovision entry  will be determined via 50/50 public televoting-international jury deliberation.

The Participants for tonight are

  1. Ace Wilder – Wild child
  2. Boris René – Her kiss
  3. Lisa Ajax – I don’t give a
  4. Robin Bengtsson – I can’t go on
  5. Jon Henrik Fjällgren feat. Aninia – En värld full av strider
  6. Anton Hagman – Kiss you goodbye
  7. Mariette – A million years
  8. Felix, Oscar & Omar/FO&O – Gotta thing about you
  9. Nano – Hold on
  10. Wiktoria – As I lay me down
  11. Benjamin Ingrosso – Good lovin’
  12. Owe Thörnqvist – Boogieman blues

It is difficult for ESCCovers to single out who we will promote but finally we decided on FO&O with “Gotta thing about you” as one of the composers Robert “Mutt” Lange is from South Africa and ESC Covers is a South African based website.

Norway

NORWAY – EUROVISION 2017 FINAL

The Norwegian selection for Eurovision 2017 takes place tonight. The show will be hosted by Line Elvsåshagen and Kåre Magnus Bergh, both unknown names to ESC Covers but we were told they are very experienced.

There will be two rounds of voting. In the first round, televoting (50%) and ten international juries (50%) will decide on the top four acts. It will be up to the viewers at home to pick the winner from these four.

The international juries are coming from Austria, Armenia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Malta, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

The participants tonight are

  4. JOWST – Grab the moment

  6. In Fusion – Nothing ever knocked us over

  9. Elin & The Woods – First step in faith/Oadjebasvuhtii
  10. Ella – Mamma boy

ESC Covers is supporting Nothing ever knocked us over by In Fusion.

Iceland 2017

ICELAND – EUROVISION 2017 – FINAL

The Iceland 2017 Eurovision final or Söngvakeppnin consists of 7 acts. Three were selected from the 1st semi-final, and three from the 2nd semi-final and one via a wildcard. The running order of the final is as follows:

  1. Aron Hannes Emilsson – Tonight
  2. Arnar Jónsson & Rakel Pálsdóttir – Again
  3. Aron Brink – Hypnotised
  4. Hildur Kristin Sefánsdóttir – Bammbaramm
  5. Rúnar Eff Rúnarsson – Make your way back home
  6. Svala Björgvinsdóttir – Paper
  7. Daði Freyr Pétursson – Is this love?

In the two semi-finals, all competing entries were required to be performed in Icelandic language; however, entries competing in the final were required to be presented in the language they would compete within the Eurovision Song Contest.

“Hello, my little sunshines! I’m Skopje Eurettefriend and I’m always shining and making positive feelings ignite, just like the sun on my heartflag. I’m a warm and cozy (Even though I’m wearing summertime clothes) friend who loves helping people to feel relaxed. A good holiday is what I always say to them.

And there’s a sunshine called Jana. She’s surrounded by music since she was younger. And I’m confident that she’ll bring my country to the Esc final… My land had a pretty hard time in the semifinals during the last 5 contests, but that’s going to change.
