In 1969 LULU represented the UNITED KINGDOM at the Eurovision song contest with the song BOOM BANG-A-BANG. It ended as the Eurovision winner with 3 other entries – the Netherlands, France and Spain.

MIEKE covered the LULU Eurovision song in Dutch, but the title stayed the same.
