NETHERLANDS 1984 – more covers
The 1984 Dutch entry to Eurovision, IK HOU VAN JOU by Maribelle only finished 13th that year but the song turned out to be one of Eurovision’s classics. It started 10 years after its début at Eurovision when Dana Winner from Belgium covered it and it sold 100 000 copies in South Africe. Since then, many SA singers have covered “this Dana” song. Here we have a cover by GORDON, who later entered Eurovision as part of DE TOPPERS, singing in 2009 for the Netherlands.
