NOTHING EVER KNOCKED US OVER
Here are the lyrics to Nothing Ever Knocked Us Over which will be performed by In Fusion in the Norwegian selection in March.
(Music&Lyrics: N. Arn, G. Eurén, D. Attlerud, K. Eurén, C. Kallin)
Stay forever young
Like a hero in a faded fantasy
Together on the run
We were living on the edge of gravity
We opened every door
Till the dream we always had was in our hands
And If we had a doubt
It was buried in a cave in Nowhereland
‘Cause we were young, and had the power
Nothing ever knocked us over
No nothing ever knocked us over
Just pick a goal and we would go there
‘Cause we were tight and strong together
Nothing ever knocked us over
No nothing ever knocked us over
We were the ones who’ll live forever
Looking at the moon
And eventually we knew we’d take it down
Explorin’ every sin
After seven we just headed way beyond
‘Cause we were young, and had the power
Nothing ever knocked us over
No nothing ever knocked us over
Just pick a goal and we would go there
‘Cause we were tight and strong together
Nothing ever knocked us over
No nothing ever knocked us over
We were the ones who’ll live forever
Like a hero in a faded fantasy
Oh oh oh we were living on the edge of gravity
We were the ones
Nothing ever knocked us over
Nothing ever knocked us over
‘Cause we were young, and had the power
Nothing ever knocked us over
No nothing ever knocked us over
Just pick a goal and we would go there
‘Cause we were tight and strong together
Nothing ever knocked us over
No nothing ever knocked us over
We were the ones who’ll live forever

There are 10 entries and most are unknown names, which is good as Eurovision is there to help find new stars of the future.
There are, however, two “golden oldies”. Age Sten Nilsen was with WIG WAM in Kyiv 2005 (and it would be interesting if he returns with his new band Ammunition to the same city several years later.
The other one is Rune Rudberg who had taken part in the Norwegian selection as far back as the 80’s. I still love his “Vinger over Europa” and that should have been the Norwegian entry at that time. Whether “Run run away” will reach the same heights, is to be seen.
ESC Covers is supporting In Fusion due to the song being composed by composers we like and support. It will also be special for Danne Attlerud to return to Eurovision for Norway after he did it way back in 2004
IN FUSION – one of the acts of the Norwegian 2017 selection
In Fusion will sing Nothing Ever Knocked US Over in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2017
In Fusion (Nina/Saima/Miriam) is a true mix of musical genres, cultures and personalities, melted down to yet another genre starting out in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2017 with the entry Nothing Ever Knocked Us Over. Together with some well recognized producers and composers, Nina, Saima and Miriam have formed a song about the moments in life when you are truly invincible, when you’re exactly in that moment, happy and strong, and your possibilities are endless.
-We want the experience of the song to be like dancing in unity with everybody at a music festival…..last weekend, last summer or 50 years ago, a feeling we believe that people in all ages can relate to.
The members are:
Nina Grødahl was born in Trondheim but raised in both Oslo and Trondheim. As very young Nina knew that she was going to make music. As a teenager she spent a lot of time at the cultural centre ISAK where she danced in her own hiphop dance crew and recorded songs in the studios there. Later on, she studied music at The Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts, better known as The Paul McCartney School, where she worked on songwriting as well as singing and performing. With a great passion for visual concepts and dance Nina also made several music videos during her time in Liverpool. She has let herself be inspired by artists like Missy Elliot, Beyoncé, Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys.
Saima-Iren Mian was born and raised in Buvika, a small rural town outside Trondheim, by her Norwegian mother and Pakistani father. Already at a very early age, Saima got into music, dance and acting. Later she was a member of the group Irresistible and reached the final round in X-Factor 2010 and also attended one of the partfinals in Melodi Grand Prix 2012 with the song Elevator feat. Carl Prit. Today Saima is a solo artist, writing songs to herself and others, but now also a member of In Fusion. She gets her inspiration from timeless music as Motown, Big Band and R&B. At home Saima also is the vocalist in the local Big Band.
Miriam LaBreche was born and raised in Trondheim by her Norwegian mother and Arabic father. Norwegian media describes her as one of the best female rock vocals in Norway, as the lead singer in different rock bands, performing on numerous festivals with well known musicians as Kee Marcello (Europe) and as a supporting act to WASP. In 2017 Miriam has started out her solo career on the side of being a member of In Fusion. Earlier Miriam also performed singing soul, R&B, jazz, opera, blues and disco.

STAND UP IN NORWEGIAN SELECTION
PRESS RELEASE
Thörnholm/Clauss/Attlerud compete in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2016
MAKEDA performing STAND UP
The well-known Swedish composers Thomas Thörnholm, Michael Clauss and Danne Attlerud will compete in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix on February 27th with the entry STAND UP, performed by MAKEDA, known from The Voice and Körslaget in Norway. The composers say:-” Makeda truly is the absolutely right person and voice for Stand Up! We know that NRK looked quite some time to find the best performer for the song and they really made it! We are extremely happy!” The recording of the lead song really went smoothly in Boomfactory Studio in Irsta, Västerås, Sweden, with backing vocals by Makeda and Kenya, Makeda’s backingvocals partner from numbers of recordings and live performances in Norway,
Stand Up is a modern pop song with roots in the history of soul, which Makeda, Thomas, Michael och Danne really hope will appeal to the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix audience.
This is the 5th time the Swedish composers compete in Melodi Grand Prix, where the top score, so far, was reached 2004 when KNUT ANDERS SÖRUM won Melodi Grand Prix with the song HIGH composed by Thomas Thörnholm, Lasse Andersson and Danne Attlerud.
TENTH QUESTION – of 12
We have just heard the news that a song composed by Danne Attlerud of Sweden is one of the songs in the 2015 Irish selection. I went Danne for the first time in 2004 in Istanbul when he composed (with others) the song for Norway that year – HIGH – which remains one of my top songs. I will dearly like Danne to be at Eurovision again, he has come so close several times, like with Malta in 2013 and Denmark in 2014. I can ask so many questions over this, but I will keep it easy – who sang HIGH for Norway in 2004?
