This year we celebrate 70 years of EUROVISION. ESC Covers will pick 70 Eurovision songs but we will not publish the original as those songs are well known. Instead we will pick a cover, in various languages and by various singers. There is no order, it is just as they come into our minds. One song per day will be posted. DOLLY DOTS SINGLES – WHAT A NIGHT
The fourteen single by DOLLY DOTS is from 1987. The song on the A side is called WHAT A NIGHT. The group has still 5 members and this song was composed by the trio Stock, Aitken and Waterman who had a lot of success with people such as Rick Ashley. They also composed the Cyprus Eurovision entry from 1984 Anna Maria-Elena for Andy Paul. This single is a German pressing on the ARIOLA label. The single reached number 18 on the Dutch charts.
