DOLLY DOTS SINGLES – WHAT A NIGHT

The fourteen single by DOLLY DOTS is from 1987. The song on the A side is called WHAT A NIGHT.   The group has still 5 members and this song was composed by the trio Stock, Aitken and Waterman who had a lot of success with people such as Rick Ashley. They also composed the Cyprus Eurovision entry from 1984 Anna Maria-Elena for Andy Paul.  This single is a German pressing on the ARIOLA label. The single reached number 18 on the Dutch charts. DOLLY DOTS SINGLES – ONLY THE RAIN

The twelfth single by DOLLY DOTS is from 1985. The song on the A side is called ONLY THE RAIN.  The group was now down to 5 members (one left) and it also seemed the end to Peter van Asten and Richard de Bois composing their songs. Eric van Tijn and Jochem Fluitsma composed the song. This single is a German pressing on the ARIOLA label. The single reached number 13 on the Dutch charts. DOLLY DOTS SINGLES – DO WAH DIDDY DIDDY

The eleventh single by DOLLY DOTS is from 1982. The song on the A side is called DO WAH DIDDY DIDDY. The composers were Barry and Greenwich. This is probably the only cover they have recorded. Manfred Mann recorded it first in 1984. I have the German release of the single on the POLYDOR label. This single reached number 8 on the Dutch charts. DOLLY DOTS SINGLES – GIVE THE GIRL A BREAK

The tenth single by DOLLY DOTS is from 1984. The song on the A side is called GIVE THE GIRL A BREAK.  Peter van Asten and Richard de Bois again composed the song, but this time they had someone else helping, namely P Phillips-Oland. DOLLY DOTS SINGLES – RADIO

The ninth single by DOLLY DOTS is from 1979. That is date of the official release in the Netherlands. The song on the A side is called RADIO. Peter van Asten and Richard de Bois again composed this song. I have the South African release of the single on a local label called SPINNA. There is no date on it, but it must have been released a year or so after the Dutch release. As with most South African releases, it came without a picture sleeve. DOLLY DOTS SINGLES – LOVE ME JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE

The eight single by DOLLY DOTS is from 1983/1984. The song on the A side is called LOVE ME JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE (TOTALLY HOOKED ON YOU). Once again, Peter van Asten and Richard de Bois composed the song. Since I have the German pressing of the single, it is not on the WEA label but on the CNR label.
