More music festival success for Sara Dall’Olio in Italy and Russia

Sara Dall’Olio has achieved more national and international success in two big music festivals. First up on 26 February Sara won the Giulietta loves Romeo competition in Verona, Italy. The festival was organised by Angelo Valsiglio. Sara won with the original song Dimenticarmi di te composed by Luca Medri and Alberto Pepoli. A video clip was made for the song.

The next big success was in St Petersburg in Russia where she won the runner up prize in her category (ages 18-23) also with the song Dimenticarmi di te and a cover of Je t’aime by Lara Fabian.

Sara was a member of The Peppermints who sang Breaking My Heart for San Marino at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Listen to Rutger and his cover of ‘Occidentali’s Karma’ by Francesco Gabbani

Rutger is a promising new talent from Malta and he has recently covered the highly rated 2017 San Remo winner and Italian Eurovision entry by Francesco Gabbani, Occidentali’s Karma. Rutger gives a fine interpretation of the song and his vocals sound clear and confident.

Rutger is part of the Ironic PR & Artist Management in Malta. He has already represented Malta in competitions in Poland, Italy and Estonia achieving a top 3 finish in all of them. In 2013 he auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent and made it through to the third round where he performed the Celine Dion classic, I Surrender. In the same year he took part in the SingerStage International Festival and won the first prize in his category. He performed I Surrender again and also the classical Adagio.

Rutger has also participated twice in the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Junior festival in Malta. First in 2014 he sang a duet with Kylie Meilak, Rakkont, which finished in fifth place and in 2015 he sang Inħobbkom It-Tnejn and placed third.

Francesco Gabbani will represent Italy at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest

Francesco Gabbani has won the 2017 San Remo festival and has accepted the invitation to sing for Italy at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.

Francesco won the San Remo festival with the song Occidentali’s Karma. You can see the video for his winning song below. A dancing gorilla is even involved.

If the winner declines to participate in Esc (Like last year’s Sanremo winners refused to go to Sweden), there will be an internal selection and that replacing singer’s name will be announced in the coming day(s). Arianna Ulivi to perform at special pre-San Remo final show

Arianna Ulivi will perform at a special pre San Remo show on Saturday. It is a contest called Sa(…)remmo d.o.c. The show will take place at Palafiori, which is next to Teatro Ariston, where the 2017 San Remo festival takes place.

Arianna will perform The Scientist by Coldplay, It will be interesting to hear her version of this song. I am sure she will do an amazing job.

Arianna was on the Junior Eurovision stage in 2014 with The Peppermints representing San Marino.

Sara Dall’Olio wins top prize at Euro Pop Music Vision (Bucharest)

Sara Dall’Olio has won the overall grand prix for Italy at the Euro Pop Music Vision (Bucharest) in Romania. She impressed with her version of the Beyoncé song, Listen. At the gala Sara performed Dimenticarmi di te and Caruso of Lucio Dalla.

Sara was a member of The Peppermints who represented San Marino at the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Breaking My Heart. She has since gone on to much solo success and 2016 has got even better including winning a top award for best original song Dimenticarmi di te by L.Medri and A.Pepoli. Then Sara won a music award for her interpretation of Adagio at the Malta International Singer’s Festival – Euro Stars. She also won the top prize for her category at the International Youth Singing Contest Rising Stars in Petrich, Bulgaria.

Fiamma Boccia will sing ‘Cara Mamma’ for Italy at 2016 Junior Eurovision

Fiamma Boccia, 13 years old,  has been selected to represent Italy at the 2016 Junior Eurovision with her song Cara Mamma (Dear Mum). The song was composed by Marco Iardella, Francesco Spadoni, Alessandro Ghironi and Fiamma herself.
