Georgia’s last three Junior Eurovision contestants, Tamar Edilashvili, Giorgi Rostiashvili and Sandra Gadelia united for a special one off performance to see in the new year.
The TV special was broadcast at midnight (Georgia time) on December 31st 2020 and included many Georgian artists associated with the show ‘Ranina’
Titled ‘New Year musical – masterpieces of film music’ the Junior contestants delivered a version of ‘Oh Happy Day’ which has featured in many films, perhaps most notably ‘Sister Act 2′ featuring Whoopie Goldberg’

Elizabeth Frisky gave a top tv performing the song And I Am Telling You (I’m Not Going), by Jennifer Holliday and also Jennifer Hudson, on a New Year show in Georgia. She showcased her smooth and soulful vocals.
Elizabeth recently released her self-penned original song Keep Burning with a retro style VHS music video.
Elizabeth has also previously released music as Liza Kenia and was part of Group Princesses, who represented Georgia at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Blue Bird.

The latest project by the Bzikebi Studio is the song Santa TikTokeria. It is a fun festive song based on the TikTok popularity released in time for the New Year celebrations.
Giga Kukhianidze is the man behind Bzikebi Studio and the many talented kids he works with. Giga is also responsible for composing the three winning Junior Eurovision songs for Georgia – 2008 Bzikebi – Bzz.., 2011 Group Candy – Candy Music and 2016 Mariam Mamadishvili – Mzeo. He has also composed the Georgian JESC song for Mariam Kakhelishvili in 2010 – Mari-Dari, Funkids in 2012- Funky Lemonade, The Smile Shop in 2013 – Give Me Your Smile, Lizi Pop in 2014 – Happy Day; The Virus in 2015 – Gabade, Grigol Kipshidze in 2017 – Voice Of The Heart and Sandra Gadelia in 2020 – You Are Not Alone.

Fans of the popular Georgian Junior Eurovision selection show Ranina can look forward to a New Year Special to take us into 2021.
Airing at midnight local time and with the theme of ‘Movie music masterpieces’ the teaser trailer features many previous contestants including Tamar Edilashvili who represented the country in 2018 with ‘Your Voice’, and this years contestant Sandra Gadelia, so viewers should well expect performances by them, as well as other previous contestants.
