Junior Eurovision selections in full swing
With the upcoming Junior Eurovision contest only a few months away, national selections for many countries are now well underway.
To date, we have 7 confirmed artists and one confirmed song from the Ukraine, who selected Sophia Ivanko with “Koly zdaietsi” ahead of some strong competition.
Other confirmed artists are:
Australia – Jordon Anthony
Georgia – Giorgi Rostiashvili
Kazakhstan – Yerzhan Maksim
Malta – Eliana Gomez Blanco
North Macedonia – Mila Moskov
Spain – Melani García
This year’s contest will take place in Gliwice Poland on 24th November.
Eliana Gomez Blanco and Malta JESC 2019 runners up receive their trophies
Eliana Gomez Blanco recently won the 2019 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest national selection. Eliana has officially been presented with the winner’s trophy.
During a special meeting with the broadcaster, PBS, this week Eliana received her prize and the second and third placed acts also were presented with special cup awards.
Second place prize went to Leah Cauchi and Martina Cutajar took the third place trophy.
The song that Eliana will sing for Malta at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in November will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Eliana Gomez Blanco to represent Malta at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Eliana Gomez Blanco has been selected to represent Malta at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in November in Poland
12 acts who performed for judges (Claudia Faniello, Ela Mangion and Deo Grech). The videos of each performance was made available for online voting also. So, half of the voting was expert jury and half was public voting. Eliana was declared the winning singer after her performance of Sto Male.
Eliana is 14 years old and has already had much success in festivals at home and abroad. She won the 2018 Għanja Tal-Poplu Żgħażagħ festival in Malta as part of a duet with Aidan Jay Drakard and the song Dwell.
Eliana has released a couple of music videos and is also a regular performer on the popular entertainment show Life & Style on Net tv in Malta.
The song that Eliana will sing for Malta at the Junior Eurovision in November will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Eliana Gomez Blanco releases video clip for ‘Kliem’
Eliana Gomez Blanco has released a brand new song and music video for the song Kliem (Words). The project is part of the institute of creative arts at MCAST.
Kliem is composed by popular songwriter Philip Vella with the lyrics by Ingrid Vella.
The video is directed by Nathan Zerafa and Marilyn G. Kraus. The filming is courtesy of Nathan Zerafa, Matthias Tirchett and Marilyn G. Kraus.
Eliana took part in the 2018 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest national selection with the catchy Music Takes Control. She has also been a regular singer on the popular tv entertainment show Life & Style on Net tv in Malta.

Listen to ‘Kull m’hemm Bżonn’ – a new Christmas song from Malta
A brand new Christmas song has been launched in Malta by various singers entitled Kull m’hemm Bżonn. It is an upbeat song with a seasonal message composed by Dario Bezzina and Cliff Casha.
The talented singers taking part are Eliana Gomez Blanco, Sebastian Calleja, Nicole Hammett, Timea Farr, Martina Fenech and Bradley Debono. They all do a wonderful job.
ESC Covers are familiar with some of the singers above such as Nicole, who has an amazing voice and can adapt to opera, pop and rock styles so easily. Eliana took part in the Malta Junior Eurovision national selection this year and has great jazz and soulful voice. Bradley, we know from some great performances. Sebastian has taken part in several festivals and success in competitions. We look forward to hearing more about Timea and Martina.

Malta: Take a listen to Eliana Gomez Blanco
Eliana Gomez Blanco took part in the 2018 Malta Junior Eurovision national selection with her song Music Takes Control. The upbeat and lively and quirky track is composed by Matt Muxu Mercieca and Cyprian Cassar. Eliana gave a strong performance on the stage and showcased her clear and soulful vocals.
Eliana has had some success in festivals and competitions and also released a top music video clip earlier this year. She recorded a cool version of the Cara Emerald track Back It Up.
