We kick off the 20 week long project where we will look at 5 covers each of 20 classic Eurovision winners over the 64 years since Eurovision started in 1956.
Week one focus on the 1976 winner from the United Kingdom SAVE YOUR KISSES FOR ME of BROTHERHOOD OF MAN.

Eva Boto from Slovenia covered the 1999 Eurovision entry from Croatia Marija Magdalena of Doris Dragović in Croatian language.
Eva performed the song on the road to her success in the 2012 Misija Evrovizija selection show in Slovenia. Eva sang Verjamem for Slovenia in Baku.

Frank de Ruijter alerted us to another Eurovision cover by BEPPIE KRAFT. This one is called DANSE TOT ‘T MORGELEECH and is the Limburg dialect version of the 1996 Eurovision entry from Sweden DEN VILDA of ONE MORE TIME.
With Maastricht in the province of Limburg one of the two front runner candidates for the 2020 Eurovision song contest in the Netherlands, ESC Covers found this Eurovision cover of the 1969 Eurovision joint winner from the United Kingdom, Boom Bang A Bang of Lulu, by BEPPIE KRAFT who sings it in the Limburg dialect as MIEN HART SLEIT BOEM BENGE BENG. Will we hear some Euro songs in this dialect if Eurovision happens to be in Maastricht?
PETRA FREY (who represented Austria at the 1994 Eurovision song contest) teamed up with TOM MARKS and they covered the 2010 Eurovision entry from DENMARK, IN A MOMENT LIKE THIS in German as ICH GEB UNS NICHT AUF.
