One of the most impressive performances in the 2017 Malta JESC national final was by Kylie Meilak. She sang I Believe in the final and gave a strong and mature performance.
Here we focus some more on Kylie and her achievements so far –
At 10 years old Kylie represented Malta at the prestigious San Remo Junior festival held at the Ariston Theatre with a full live orchestra where she sang I A Changing and she won the overall contest with her performance of And I Am Telling You.
She had big success by finishing second on a top tv show in Malta from a field of 86 participants.
In 2016 Kylie was a member of the all girl band, Fusion, and they finished second in the Maltese JESC national selection that year.
That bring us to the 2017 JESC national final where she impressed many with her performance of the song I Believe.
I am sure we will be seeing a lot more of Kylie in the future.

Justine Shorfid was a finalist in the 2015 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest national selection. There she performed the Etta James song, I’d Rather Go Blind. Justine is also competing in The Entertainers – Singing Challenge on Net tv in Malta.
Now Justine has had a big success at the Erseb Festival. She won first prize in her section for singing Proud Mary (performed by many acts including Tina Turner). Justine also got the second prize in her section for performing the musical classic, Summertime. She got the overall prize too.
Justine has a very soulful voice and I am sure we are going to hear a lot more from her in the future.

Rachel Lowell is a young and talented singer from Malta. She participated in the 2016 Malta Junior Eurovision national selection, where she covered the Celine Dion song, I Surrender.
Rachel is currently competing in The Entertainers – Singing Challenge on Net tv in Malta. At the weekend she sang the Whitney Houston classic, One Moment In Time, and she gave an outstanding performance. Her vocals were controlled and crystal clear. A pleasure to hear.
Rachel told ESC Covers about her experience “It was an amazing experience… singing with a band is such an amazing feeling”.
ESC Covers wishes Rachel good luck with her ‘singing challenge’ on The Entertainers. I am sure she is one to watch for the future.
