Thursday, May 14, Sweden’s 12th will be broadcast live from SVT in Stockholm. The program shows the 25 finalists that the viewers voted for in the Mello app during the week. Every now and then the viewers vote again, and chooses the Swedish people’s Eurovision winners in 2020. There will also be glances back at Eurovision memories, and clips from Sweden’s two own Eurovision, 2013 and 2016. Also on site are the Melodifestivalen winners The Mamas , who in front of Move. Creator and producer for Sweden’s 12th is Christer Björkman andEdward of Sillén .
– This will be a wonderful Eurovision evening for all TV viewers. We will of course distribute Sweden’s 12th and choose a winner. We will also dig out lovely favorite memories, not least from our own ESC in Malmö 2013 and Stockholm 2016. It will be a party for both eye and ear that I get the honor to create together with Edward af Sillén, says Christer Björkman.
On Saturday, May 16, SVT and many other countries in Europe will broadcast Eurovision: Europe shine a light – a two-hour broadcast starting at 21:00.
The program paid tribute to the songs that would have participated and competed in Rotterdam, and well-known artists from recent years are also invited to perform well-known songs from the history of Eurovision. The program leaders who would have led the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 lead the program: Chantal Janzen , Edsilia Rombley and Jan Smit .
The broadcast is produced by the Dutch broadcasters NPO, NOS and AVROTROS who would broadcast Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
