EUROVISION SONG VERSUS COVERS – UN BANC, UN ARBRE, UNE RUE

In  a current series, we will look for 30 days to a Eurovision song and two covers of that song to compare if maybe someone who covered it, did it better than the original.

The Eurovision song is UN BANC, UN ARBRE, UNE RUE,  the 1971 Eurovision entry by SEVERINE for Monaco. It was sung in French at the contest. It turned out the winning song that year. The first cover is by VIRGINIA LEE A BRAND NEW DAY and is in two languages English and French while the second cover is by KIRSTI SPARBOE PA EN GAMMEL BENT and is in Norwegian.

EUROVISION SONG VERSUS COVERS – MILLION VOICES RUSSIAN VERSION

In  a current series, we will look for 30 days to a Eurovision song and two covers of that song to compare if maybe someone who covered it, did it better than the original.

The Eurovision song is MILLION VOICES, the 2015 Eurovision entry by POLINA GAGARINA for Russia. It was sung in English at the contest but using the Russian version.  The first cover is by LEIZEL PIETERS MILJOENE DRUPPELS and is in Afrikaans while the second cover is by LITESOUND featuring ALEX KOLDUN and is in English.

EUROVISION SONG VERSUS COVERS – EIN BISSCHEN FRIEDEN

In  a current series, we will look for 30 days to a Eurovision song and two covers of that song to compare if maybe someone who covered it, did it better than the original.

The Eurovision song is EIN BISSCHEN FRIEDEN, the 1982 Eurovision entry by NICOLE for Germany. It was sung in German. It also became the winner that year. The first cover is by BLES BRIDGES NIE LANK GELEDE and is in Afrikaans while the second cover is by KATRI HELENA VAIN HIEMAN RAUHAA and is in Finnish.
